Quaint Cottage with a Private Dock on Paradise Lake

Embrace life on the lake in this cozy cottage, just steps away from all sports Paradise Lake.

This beautiful vacation rental offers quick access to bonfires, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, boating and dining.

-The Space-

Our family cottage has been totally remodeled. The 575 sqft space, offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, with an open concept living room and kitchen for easy cooking and socializing.

The interior of the cottage is beautiful pine planking with cathedral ceilings and plenty of windows for optimal sunshine. Facing the lake is a sunroom (my favorite space), perfect for watching the sunset and sipping your morning coffee while enjoying the sunrise.

Don't feel like cooking? No biggie! Less than a half mile away is Harbor Lights Grille, situated on the lake, enjoy your farm to table meal looking out over the pristine water and watching the boats go by.

A stones throw away from Harbor Lights Grille is Clyde's. Clyde's is famous for it's burgers and wings and is timeless with a small town feel. It's where the locals go to unwind and have a cold beer.

Mackinac City is just a 5 minute drive which boasts many different restaurants, enjoy dining on anything from Italian to Thai cuisine.

Leggs Inn is an iconic Northern Michigan destination. Enjoy the scenic views and authentic Polish Cuisine. Located just 20 minutes from the cottage.

Cute cottage!

The cottage was small but clean and cozy. The location was perfect to get to Mackinac Island and wilderness state park. Check in/out was a breeze. We had a wonderful stay.

Quaint Cozy Cottage

Ruth's cottage was fantastic. It was clean, quaint, cozy, and in a great location. Easy access to Mackinaw City, Petoskey, Indian River, etc. We will absolutely be back. Ruth was a great host - very quick communication and very accommodating!

Amazing!

They house was so cute, being directly on the lake was a huge plus and the neighbors dog is adorable and very friendly. The drive to other places was very reasonable so the location was perfect. I would stay again!

Cabin on the lake

This property is a quaint cabin on the lake. Close to everything we planned for our time in Michigan. The cabin is well maintained and very nice and comfortable. We loved watching the wildlife on the lake and the sunset in the evening.

Cozy Cottage by the Lake

We loved the small cozy cottage by the lake. We received a complimentary bottle of wine, the view was beautiful, the cottage was clean and close to Mackinaw City and the ferry to the Island. There was so much to do and we had an amazing time!

Quaint and peaceful

Thank you for a lovely, clean, quaint cottage on the lake. The sunroom was my favorite spot. I enjoyed watching all the ducks fly and swim by. It is a beautiful lake and wonderful place to stay. Ruth is very thoughtful.

Cozy Cottage

We were delighted at the size of the cottage and with the location- just steps to the lake. The furnishings were comfortable and clean. The internet was reliable. We would recommend this cottage to anyone interested in exploring this region of Michigan; it’s convenient to Mackinaw City and eastern part of UP.

Great cabin 10 minutes from Mackinaw City

This was exactly what we were looking for - small, cozy cabin for my family! We didn’t spend a ton of time at the VRBO as we were out and about. Ruth was fantastic to communicate with! She left a bottle of wine, had plenty of pamphlets of the area and everything you’d need (stocked kitchen, plenty of blankets (it was chilly when we stayed).My kids loved the lake and “fished”. I would 100% book again.

Great escape from the city

This was the perfect little place for our family of 3. Our 9 year old spent the week fishing off the dock and playing with the neighbors dog Trip! The area is so quiet and peaceful. The home was clean, had everything we could have needed and updated more than most of the available rentals in the area. Walking distance to restaurant and Chubbs bait shop. Short drive into town to walk Mackinaw City. We are grateful for a week in Ruth’s Paradise!

Wonderful getaway

This cottage is homey and relaxing. It was quiet which was great after all the holiday hubbub. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The property owner responded to all my messages promptly. The lake is absolutely beautiful. We are talking about going during the summer months so my husband can fish. Thank you so much!

Amazing!

We had a great time at this cottage! The proximity to the lake is exceptional. The towels and bedding were of great quality. The house was clean and all essential supplies were there in abundance. The cottage was super close to Mackinaw City and we went into town every day. The communication was superb the best I have ever experienced. She kept us updated on ice conditions and great places we could visit if we weren't able to get out on the ice. We were able to ice fish but also visited the recommended sites and had a great time exploring in and around Mackinaw. We are hoping to come again in the Summer!

Chrismassy Cabin Stay

My three sons and my husband and myself stayed at Ruth’s little cabin while visiting my parents for an early Christmas stay. The house was warm and clean and in a cute little neighborhood in the village of Carp Lake. We loved the miniature sun porch where my son and I painted a couple mornings and of course the lake itself. Even frozen, the water is beautiful and such a special place to live. Communication with Ruth was simple and fast and checkin was a breeze. The neighbor across the street even waved and asked if we need him to swing his blower across and clear the driveway the day we were leaving. I wished there was an extra set of bedding to use on the r fold out couch available just in case and I also found myself wishing for a couch throw on those chilly mornings. We would love to come back again in the summer and enjoy the dock and the summer view.

It is a very cute cottage. We had the opportunity to use both the AC and the furnace and both worked great. The patio facing the lake was very comfortable and we enjoyed having our meals out in the sun room with a view. The property is within easy driving range of a number of cities including Mackinac City.
