"For our honeymoon, my wife and I had a Mon-Fri 4 night stay in what the resort calls cabin 5, Expedia calls the design cabin. Just a couple of tiny details prevented us from rating 5 out of 5 or 10 out of 10. Positives: Incredible view of the lake from the cabin patio. Nice access to the water with a dock and little sandy beach. Pool and hot tubs are top notch and close walking distance. Bed was very comfortable, we have back trouble and are very picky about bed firmness and comfort. Nicely equipped kitchen. Great dining experience at Boondockz, also within easy walking distance. Cabin was clean although minimally appointed - the listing accurately pictured and described it more like a fishing trip cabin, it is NOT a condo or someone's home. It is a very quiet and remote location with the nearest store being a Dollar General about 25 min away. We enjoyed having our dog with us. So far, a perfect review. Lows: There are a few maintenance items which need attention with exterior doors not closing well and with the laminate floors curling up in some places. Given that there is a nice charcoal grill, we expected and didn't bring any seasoning for grilling. The only thing there was pepper. The little store didn't have any seasonings to buy. If we had known we would have brought our own. Communication was poor, phone calls and FB messages went unanswered. Overall, a perfect mini-moon stay. Would love to give a perfect review as we had a great time but have to say 4/5 or 8/10."

"The room was fantastic! The original room we had planned to stay in was a single bedroom; however, the staff ended up putting us in a 3 bedroom suit on the balcony overlooking the water. It was beautiful and I'll definitely be back to visit the personable and great staff."

"We had an excellent stay with Brian and Jackie. There was excellent communication with Brian before the stay and that continued during the stay. The main level living room was very comfortable. The main level bed has a comfortable mattress topper that we loved. The kitchen is well stocked so far as pots and pans and dishes. We were pleasantly surprised to find some condiments and spices left behind by other guests for our use. The downstairs has two additional queen bedrooms and second living room with a chair and a pull out couch. There is also a washer and dryer and downstairs refrigerator, too. The furniture on the decks is comfortable. As noted before, there are a lot of stairs down to the dock, but not a terrible amount. We were plesantly surprised to find loads of pool noodles and some floating loungers for use while swimming. The lake is deep off the dock, which is a plus for me. The house is located in an area where you do get to see some boats and jet skis go by, but there is not a crazy amount of waves for swimmers. There are chairs, a refrigerator, and tiki bar on the dock as well. The one parking spot is steep, but I managed it with my huge SUV. Brian helped us with where to park our second vehicle. This is a wooded lake area, so bugs are to be expected. But we were not bothered by any during the day at all. They were a bit thick at night, but that is beyond the owner's control. All in all, we had a great time and were lucky to find this place!"
Large Lakefront Family Retreat on Quiet and Lively Cove

"Clean house. Very large and accommodating for our large group. The hosts were very kind and responsive when we had a WiFi issue. The dock was fun for the kids and the porch was great to relax on after a day on the water. Plenty of towels, blankets, and the kitchen was well stocked. Only downside to the property is the small kitchen. Not very functional for large groups. Water at the property smells and tastes awful. So showers and teeth brushing was a bit unpleasant. Overall would recommend the property."
