Private mansion with bucolic garden in the heart of the city.
Authentic family home dating from 1848, the house combines modern comfort due to a major renovation, the cachet of old buildings. Its location, in the immediate vicinity of the city center, will allow you to enjoy both, all the amenities offered on foot by a city of medium size, as well as the quiet charm of a garden "cocooning".
With an area of more than 320 m2 on two levels, the house can comfortably accommodate 12 people with its 5 bedrooms.
The ground floor, characterized by beautiful volumes due to high ceilings, is composed of a beautiful and bright living room with a dining area, a living room and an open kitchen, giving direct access to outdoor spaces as well as a separate toilet and a first bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
Particularly user-friendly with its central island and the extent of its work plans for cooking with others, the kitchen is also very easy to live with (dishwasher in height, steam oven, bay window opening on the outdoor terrace where find the shaded dining area naturally ...) The master bedroom, majestic with its 28 m2, fireplace and moldings on the ceiling communicates directly with a very spacious bathroom of 25 m2 with bath, walk-in shower and double sink.
In addition to the wide original stone staircase, a second spiral staircase provides access to the first floor where two spaces communicate freely. In the first, a living room of 20 m2 with fireplace including a foosball, gives access to a comfortable master bedroom of 16m2 with adjoining bathroom and separate toilet and a second room for children (sleeps 3). In the second space, a hall with a piano and a library serves a master bedroom of 28m2 with fireplace and adjoining bathroom, and a second children's room (3 beds), also adjoining the bathroom, and finally a separate toilet.
The thickness of the walls and their recent insulation will naturally preserve you from the hot summer temperatures inside the house. Nevertheless, an alternative of freshness also awaits you in the garden where several spaces of relaxation are offered to you.
Without vis-à-vis, an area of approximately 1000 m2, you can enjoy a dining area with two barbecues in the natural shade of a sophora, a pool area (10x4) with terraces Sunny and equipped with comfortable furniture, a sitting area with deckchairs in the dense shade of old hackberries and a petanque area under a large pine. The laundry and the long flowery pergola add a touch of curiosity and charm to this ancient garden, welcoming many species of birds.
The center of Carpentras, City of Arts and History is located less than 5min walk. You will not need a car to take advantage of its many assets (shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, cafes, market, flea market, cinema, tennis ....) nor to go to Avignon (directly accessible thanks to the TER) in order to discover its Festival, its many cultural activities and the richness of its heritage.
