"I liked that it was a place for us to stay while we went to Busch gardens and Virginia Beach. I didn't like the roaches crawling over the one bed. I didn't like that everything looked broken inside and the mattresses were futon mattresses pretty much. The air conditioning in our room at least had alot of water cycling inside and not alot of cold air coming out of it til we lowered it to damn near sub zero temps."

"Advertised hot breakfast was not available. Staff informed me that the new owners stopped the hot breakfast when they acquired the property. The only breakfast food available was toast, cereal, yogurt, and a waffle. No coffee at all and no juice. The exercise room was locked and front desk claimed it was due to renovation in another part of the building. I requested a crib when I made the reservation. Front desk informed me on check in that none were available. Spend your money elsewhere…a Motel...

"Tom and Sue are excellent hosts. If you love American history, this is the place to stay. The house is very well appointed with historical artifacts. It is a great jumping of point for all that Williamsburg (and Yorktown/ Jamestown) has to offer. We stayed 4 nights and it was well worth it. Breakfast was great every morning. I loved that Tom (and Sue, when she was available) would sit with us at breakfast. They are great conversationalists."
