The surrounding countryside is rich in olive oil and wine production, with local trattorias serving traditional Ligurian dishes. The closest restaurants and grocery stores are in the town centre, a 4-minute drive/15-minute walk down the hill.

For beach fun, the seaside towns of Sestri Levante and Chiavari are both close by. The enchanting Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence) with its tranquil sandy shores and the lively Baia delle Favole (Bay of Fairy Tales) framed by pastel-coloured buildings and fishing boats, are both a 14-minute drive away.

Popular excursions include a trip to the colourful fishing village of Camogli (a 40-minute drive), the iconic harbour at Portofino (a 50-minute drive) and the iconic UNESCO site of Cinque Terre with its colourful cliffside villages and scenic hiking trails (a 55-minute drive away).
