Beautiful hotel with an amazing past. The location in Alfama is perfect. The ruins on the ground floor are mind blowing. Rooms are comfortable and lobby is nice.

Great location; renovated historic building.
The room was spacious and spotless. We enjoyed the free Porto wine and afternoon high tea with the delicious “pastel de mata.” The breakfast had a variety of fruit, pastries and hot items besides juices annd espresso and cappuccino.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff was excellent. Room was nice but the controller for the temperature in the bedroom didn’t work and the middle of the night trash collection just outside and below the room was horrific loud.
