The host was very welcoming and even left a gift for us when we arrived. The cabin looked as beautiful as it was in the pictures and we really enjoyed our stay. We came during an especially cold time. So the host was kind enough to stock up on logs for the fireplace.
Loved the remote location. The aesthetics were fantastic as well. It’s clear someone put their heart and soul into it. Very clean property with plenty of sleeping spots. The driveway is a bit sketchy but I was able to get up it in a rwd Infiniti G35.
Everything was great! This is a beautiful home in a tranquil area. We enjoyed so much about this house: fully equipped kitchen with large table, covered rocking chair deck, fire pit, wildlife watching off the second floor porch, family friendly games and puzzles, dvd movie collection. The natural lighting and cozy furnishings added to our relaxing stay. The only thing that caught us a bit by surprise was the 15 minute drive down a gravel road to get there and the very steep gravel driveway. We recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. This long gravel road was a bonus though, as the dog (and dad) enjoyed his early morning walks. The homeowners were exceptional hosts as well. They made sure we had everything we needed and made excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area.
We had a great stay at this lovely place. It had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to all the necessary toiletries. If you’re a hiker, you’ll love that the trails start right from the patio. Staying here truly makes you feel one with nature. Our trip lasted three days. We went out exploring on two days and spent one day relaxing and hiking, preparing dinner with produce we picked up at farmers' markets in Cashiers and Highlands. The planning for our trip was excellent. Communication with Carolyn was fantastic from start to finish. Even when I had a question during our stay, her responses were prompt and helpful.I highly recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
