We had a positive stay in this home! It was more remote than we expected, but that added to the experience. The home was as you would expect for a older, country home. Spacious, clean and full of character. With a group of 11, we were all comfortable. There was great breeze keeping the house cool at night. Hot water wouldn't last if we all showered at the same time, so we coordinated timing. This was a great place to say for our family (ages 5-68) and we would certainly come back.

A truly fantastic place

This is a fantastic place. Perched high up in the hills north of Siena it has magnificent views and is so peaceful. We were a party of 8 adults and 5 children from 1 to 7 years. We used the 5 bedrooms in the main house but did not need to use the poolhouse which was set up as a self-contained unit with bedroom, bathroom living area and kitchen. All of the rooms were spacious and the villa was extremely well-equipped. Communication with the owner was excellent and he responded immediately to requests/questions. We will be back in the future for sure!

Disappointing stay

Unfortunately, our stay at this property was far from what we expected based on the listing. The house was not clean upon arrival—there was visible dirt and grime throughout, and bugs, spiders, spiderwebs, and worms were present in multiple rooms including the kitchen counter, making the space unsanitary. It felt as though it had not been inhabited for quite some time.The house was not stocked with basic supplies for a group of nine staying for five nights. There were no paper towels, hand soap, bathroom toiletries, and not enough toilet paper.The appliances were extremely outdated, which made basic tasks like cooking or making coffee difficult. Even more concerning, there was a sewage leak, which flooded part of the downstairs, and created an unpleasant smell and raised serious hygiene concerns. To make matters worse, there was no hot water towards the end of our stay in most of the bathrooms, which made showering nearly impossible.The exterior patio area and area surrounding the pool needed to be tidied as there was dirt, leaves, and rocks. Even then, the outside area enjoyment was limited and we could not spend much time outdoors due to the incessant swarming of bees and hornets. We were shocked that only one person in our group got stung while swimming. This also limited the ability to open windows on the first level of the home for ventilation as no screens were present to keep out the bugs and bees. Finally, it should be noted that this home is located in a beau

Vi hade en fantastisk vecka i detta underbara hus. Huset är mycket trevligt och känns som ett riktigt hem. Omgivningarna är otroligt vackra och det finns jättemycket att göra i närområdet Vår värd gav oss massor av användbar information, både om huset och omgivningarna. Rekommenderar verkligen detta ställe och hoppas komma tillbaka snart!

Nous sommes un groupe de cyclistes venu arpenter les routes et les fameuses strade blanche de Toscane. Nos attentes ont été comblées aussi bien au niveau de la réservation et de l'accueil de jean Albert que des parcours proposés par Komoot et l'Eroica.
