Great location and view

Located a few walkable blocks from the main street and next to the bus station, our room cane with a balcony that featured a magnificent sunset view of Mt. Etna. The room was spacious and the host accomodating and gracious. Walkable from train station. Would definitely use again.

Located walking distance from many city attractions. Three blocks away from central bus station for intercity travel. Some rooms have a view of Etna. Host was very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area looks a bit dinghy but that should not put you off.

Pleasant stay! I arrived early at the airport and the B&B let me check in right away (at 11 in the morning) - so kind! The only negative comment I have is the use of strongly scented cleaning products - I guess that’s not for everyone and left me with a headache.

Nice room with a lovely view of Mt Etna. The overall location of the B&B did not appear the nicest. The area seemed safe and there were no issues, but the immediate vicinity did not look great. That said, we were only about a 7 minute walk into the main areas of Catania and Via Etnea. There was a bus stop for the Alibus (airport bus) very near to the B&B which was convenient. Breakfast was nice (cakes, croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereal). We were confused by check-in though. We arrived only slightly before check-in time (maybe 15-30 minutes), but there was no one in the B&B when we rang the doorbell from outside. We had to call the number and were walked through how to check-in on the telephone. All was fine in the end, but some instructions prior to check-in could have helped.

Great little place ideally located

Great location to station as well as centre. My room was delux and very nice. The view of mount Etna fantastic. Disappointed with the room service, better not to clean at all. All the cleaner did was to make the bed. Never cleaned anything, I forgot to flush toilet and found it the same. Dust on the floor, bed cover had stains on it, clean towels not given and no toiletries replaced. Vincenzo was excellent and gave me so much needed advice. Overall great place to stay but they need to replace the cleaner

Mixed feelings

Arrangements were good prior to stay however l was told about a 15 euro extra as l was turning up after 8.30pm. I checked in the details and it is hidden under more info. I would not have stayed here if l had known this as it made it expensive for a solo traveller. However on the good side the room was large and the bed comfortable. On the negative side there was little choice for breakfast. No savory, just sweet cakes and fruit.

A Wonderful View and Gracious Hosts

Our stay was excellent. The hosts are wonderful and the location is very close to the station. The area just outside the station can seem a little intimidating, especially at night, but we did feel safe at all times, and there are also supermarkets nearby. The view was also amazing! We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend.

B&B in Catania

It was just for one night but was very comfortable. Very clean. The shower was amazing. Breakfast the next morning was very adequate. Liked it very much.

The only positive about it, it was close to the city center, a 10 minute walk. I booked it for 3 adults (there was no mention that room was for 2 adults and a child) but the second bed was too small / short for an adult and the beds were not comfortable. The accommodation was in a somewhat old building with not a nice view.

Comfortable except for heating.

The rooms are good. The service is good. The bed is comfortable and hot water is good. It was cold during our visit and the heat is inadequate, but the owner brought some space heaters. The building is not a normal BB type arrangement. It’s like a space in an office building converted. At night there is no attendance. Common area very cold and I’m not sure about adequate fire escape?!?

Easy commute from airport by bus, but we got off at the wrong stop, so had to walk further than we should have. We had agreed previously with owners, that we could leave our luggage as we arrived before the usual check in time, As it’s a b and b within a block of flats, we struggled a little to find it, making us later than expected but the owners were very patient and waited for us, thank you. We were greatly surprised to find our room was already for us, even though it was only 10am. The room was comfortable, and clean. It would have been nice to have had a kettle or coffee machine in room, but it wasn’t a huge problem. We had a nice distant view, but no view of Etna from our triple room. The surrounding area is a bit more rough looking, but didn’t actually feel unsafe, although a lot of homeless people sleeping on the streets nearby. Breakfast was fine, decent continental choice, just nothing fancy but filling and good enough considering the cost of our stay. Aircon worked well, and was needed. The main downside to the area was the mosquitoes, so make sure you have bug spray. I would recommend B&B Turiddu, good value for money, and well placed to access the city centre, as only 10 mins walk.

Perfect base

Firstly, Vicenzo is such a warm and welcoming host, great communication throughout my stay and the run up to arriving. The room was huge, stunning view of etna from room and the breakfast every morning was a perfect mix to start the day right. I read a few previous comments about the area, but as a woman travelling alone I always felt safe. Yes there’s alot of rubbish around but hey - it’s everywhere in Sicily! I found it really handy being so near the bus and train station which are only a quick walk and I used alot for day trips to other towns (Noto and Taormina). This was a great base for exploring further out of Catania, I enjoyed my stay so much and can’t wait to return to see more of Sicily. I will be booking here again for sure. Grazie Mille Vicenzo

Our room had it's own air conditioner and remote. However, it was super weak and didn't seem to really respond to our setting it lower or higher. During our first night, we were very hot despite leaving it on all night and setting it to 18°C (we normally sleep higher but it just wasn't cooling the room down so we tried setting it lower). There is a shared mini fridge that can be used by guests, but it is also set to a very low setting such that it's barely keeping fridge items cool (water left over night doesn't even have water condensation in the outdoor heat since it was so not cooled). You are not able to adjust the fridge temperate setting because they jammed a file clip into the dial such that it can't be moved. Otherwise, the hotel and stay was fine.

God udsigt. Sløj morgenmad med god kaffe

Dejligt stor værelse med udsigt til Etna. Levede op til beskrivelsen af værelset. At de gamle cafe møbler og balkonen ikke lige er de nyeste og komfort er diskutabel, ændre ikke på at værelse og service giver valuta for prisen. Morgenmaden er italiensk = søde sager og uinteressant. Her mangler vi fra Norden lige lidt frisk brød, ost og måske et æg. Men Lidl ligger lige rundt om hjørnet og der er et fælles køleskab til at spæde op. Til gengæld er kaffen god.
