This apartment is located on Via Gisira, one of the most charming streets in the historic centre, just a short walk from Piazza Duomo and in the area of the famous traditional fish market, known as “A piscaria.”

This area represents the city’s most authentic and lively spirit.

Every morning, the area comes alive with the sounds and colours of the historic market.

Local fishermen arrive with the day’s fresh catch, while nearby stalls offer fruit, vegetables, spices, cheeses, and typical Sicilian products.

It is one of the most charming and frequently photographed spots in Catania and a unique opportunity to experience the local culture up close.

The studio apartment, furnished with a kitchenette and bathroom, is self-contained and located on the ground floor of a small two-story building.

The only areas shared with the other three units I own are the front door facing the street the stairs leading to the ground floor, and the entrance hall.

The street is a pedestrian zone because it’s home to the historic open-air market and is lined with tables from numerous restaurants, pizzerias, bars, and street food vendors.

If you’re arriving by car, we recommend using the municipal outdoor car park “Borsellino Parking,” which is a 5-minute walk from the house.
