"The place is a rental property rather than a hotel. The host Carla was very friendly and responsive. The view was amazing. However, the property could use some serious work. There were holes on the wall, stains on the couch, splashes on the kitchen window shades, mold or stains on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom sink doesn’t work. "If “too good to be true” were a place, it would be Casa Tucan. This home is everything the pictures show and so much more. Honestly, photos—or even my words—will never do it justice. You simply have to experience it for yourself.From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and cared for. We felt absolutely safe the entire time on our girls’ trip. Edgar was incredibly attentive, communicative, and made sure every detail was coordinated seamlessly. Jose, the chef, prepared the most amazing meals and even handled provisioning ahead of time, so all we had to do was arrive and be in awe of that breathtaking view.The home itself is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We slept wonderfully. Yes, you’ll have some friendly little bugs and even the occasional frog at night—it’s Costa Rica after all—but they were never a nuisance, just part of the charm.The experience left us changed in the best way. We can’t thank the hosts enough for sharing such a beautiful place, truly a retreat on top of the world. Casa Tucan is a blessing, and we will absolutely be back."
