"$100 deposit at check in was surprising. The desk clerk in the morning had to go up and check our room before we got our deposit back. It felt very odd."

"Always a great stay at Mariposa Lodge. The staff is friendly, the rooms and grounds are clean and comfortable, The location is in the heart of town. Only minuses: in room coffee and tea are not good. The coffee machines are not Keurig, so you don't have the option of bringing your own pods. Coffee is tasteless. Coffee made in the lobby would solve that. Tea is the worst USA brand. Twinings has international appeal and would make a good replacement. Happy Burger Diner has the best food in town and is an easy walk. Cinnamon Roll and Jantz Bakery are great breakfast options if you want a pastry and coffee to start your day. I stay here once every other month. These are my lodgings of choice."

"Parking was easy and convenient! Rooms are clean but the bathrooms need maintenance…. We stayed at a suite and we noticed mold in the bathroom ceilings and that bothered me 🙈 other than that everything else was good and breakfast is a big plus"
