Old house, carefully renovated, all mod cons, nice services

The house is situated in the village of Caunes-Minervois, at the foot of the Montagne Noire. The city is built around its Benedictine abbey. Its ancient alleyways are particularly interesting and the nature that surrounds it (vines, scrublands, olive groves, forests) will delight hikers. All shops and services are represented. Near the Mediterranean, its microclimate is favorable to the development of its famous AOC Minervois. The house is next to my pottery studio, tastefully restored using traditional materials. It has all the comforts and facilities of a modern house. On the groundfloor, entrance hall with storage, large living room, kitchen with open fire, bathroom, WC, "plancha" area and beautiful south facing terrace not overlooked. On the 1st floor, 2 nice bedrooms for 2 persons each, bathroom and WC. The space is very bright on each level.

Great value in a beautiful village

Nicely renovated house in one of the most beautiful villages in the Minervois. Great to have two bathrooms along with the two bedrooms. Well equipped and everything working. The owner lives close by and was very helpful throughout, providing wood for the fireplace during a cool spell. Charming terrace with views for warmer days. Highly recommended.

Impecable casa rústica en pueblo muy bonito

Hemos pasado 6 noches en esta bonita casa. Es rústica pero decorada con gusto y dispone de absolutamente todo lo necesario para pasar una buena estancia en familia. La zona exterior resultó más pequeña que lo que esperaba pero está bien para cenar 4. Caunes Minervois está bien ubicada para visitar esta región muy diversa (Carcassonne, grutas, castillos Cátaros, la montaña negra, viñedos del Minervois, Minerve, Lagrasse, etc.). Lionel se mostró muy disponible en todo momento para darnos consejos. Merci pour tout!

Un autre monde!

situé dans un village midiéval , au pied de la montagne noire, entourée de vignes de marbres, située au coeur du pays Cathares entre Carcassone et Minerve 2 villes fortifiées et en plus Lionel et Marie sont des hôtes exceptionels ce qui fait en sorte que nous conseillons fortement ce 4 étoiles au balcon couvert de vignes dont nous avons mangé les fruits durant notre séjour de 3 semaines.

Comfortable gîte in an interesting small town

This is great choice for a small group or couple, in an interesting town, with proprietor’s pottery studio just downhill. Your hosts are wonderful, with recommendations on sites to see and restaurant options. Lionel was exceptionally helpful with local directions, particularly since we visited at a very busy time of year.

Tolles Haus in wunderschönem Dorf!

Wir haben uns in diesem schönen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sauber und komfortabel, die Terrasse ist gemütlich und groß. Wasch- und Spülmaschine vorhanden, alles wunderbar. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Kein WLAN (bzw. nur sehr, sehr schwach auf der Terrasse). Darauf sollte man sich einstellen. Das Dorf ist wunderschön und ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in der Gegend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Directement à côté de l'atelier du potier, nous avons eu un accueil très sympathique par ce monsieur. Malgré un temps pluvieux, nous avons fait quelques balades : centre du village très joli et promenade bien agréable. Nous y retournerons et en avons déjà parler à 2 couples d'amis!

Super Vacances en famille

Merci à Lionel et Marie pour leur accueil chaleureux. Terrasse très agréable et ombragée (matin et soir). Plancha et boucherie ICHER dans le village forment un combo des plus plaisants. Maison idéalement située entre la montagne noire et le Minervois. Ballades recommandées : Lac de Pradelles, Château de Lastours, cité de Minerve, Carcassonne, Plages de LEUCATE à 1 h de route. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille.
