I rarely leave reviews, however on this occasion I feel compelled to do so.
On arriving to the hotel it looks fantastic as you drive through the golf course. The Courtesy bus from the car park is a nice touch.
Check in was quick and efficient and even though our room was not ready our bags were taken and we went for lunch.
Lunch was nice, the server was polite and by the time we finished our bags had been taken to our room.
Our room was disappointing to be honest, we had been given an accessible room, the bath was extremely slow to drain, the room was very poorly lit and there was a lack of mirrors at accessible heights for my partner to do her makeup.
Spa was good however it was busy so didn't have the relaxing feel of other spa hotels.
Dinner at the hotel was our biggest disappointment, we met with friends and the Fish cake starter was nice, however we ordered fillet steaks and they were severely overcooked, which for 38 euro a steak I expected better, the manager tried to explain that they had a new supplier but really I think we all know the difference between a rare fillet and a well done one and the point that we had to ask for steak knives - think they need to cover the basics.
Breakfast was a good set up with lovely offering of traditional cooked breakfast and continental. Servers were quick with tea & coffee and food looked appealing. However, watch out for the undercooked eggs coming out.!!
