"The room was nice and clean. there were flies comming in upstairs but that is truely typical of a house of this age. The owner had asked us to pay a couple of taxes that were not listed in the price (not sure it is ethical/legal/moral) - they close by 9 or you have to pay a $50 late fee A fee - no food was availible unless you arange ahead of time. over all for a B&B style experience I was ok wth it."

"Quiet cabin to escape life’s demands! Beautifully renovated cabin near Green Bank Observatory, hiking trails, and ski resorts. Amazing large deck off the back of the cabin and another front deck near the firepit/ring. Hooks, storage cubbies, and bench in the huge mudroom. Baseboard heat worked well. Kitchen stocked with basics. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. Good WiFi. I hope to return again to Starry Night Retreat."

"Our group had the most incredible time at this stunning riverfront retreat! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how spacious, welcoming, and beautifully appointed the home is. With 10 bedrooms and plenty of room for everyone, it was perfect for our multi-family getaway — and the views of the Bullpasture River were absolutely breathtaking.The entertainment options were exceptional! The game room and movie theater kept everyone entertained no matter the weather, and we loved discovering all the thoughtful touches throughout the house. The well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living areas made group meals and evenings together an absolute joy. The private cabin on site was such a unique bonus that our crew couldn’t stop raving about.The location felt peaceful and private, yet was still close enough to local attractions and outdoor adventures.This house truly exceeded our expectations in every way and hosted an unforgettable weekend for all of us. Clean, comfortable, and full of character — highly recommend for large groups, family reunions, or any special celebration! 🏡❤️"

"This place was amazing. My wife and I were looking for a secluded getaway and we found it here. The views were spectacular. We really enjoyed being in the hot tub and seeing snow covered mountains all around. The kitchen was well appointed. We didn't leave for 4 days and we were able to cook everything we needed. I don't want to forget to mention the double-headed shower in the owner's bath. My wife and I would definitely return here. "
