We highly enjoyed our stay in the coral cottage on Caye Caulker in late July! I traveled with 2 of my friends from Texas. Pictures are true to form. Nice amenities like AC, cable, beach towels, a local phone to use, and bikes to rent ($5 US per day). Oh ya, and there's a pool, but we may have jumped it once the entire time. There is SO much to do on Caye Caulker than lounge in a pool, but it's a very nice feature to have. This cottage is about a 3-5 min bike ride from the center of local shops and restaurants and about 8 mins to "The Split," the local and tourist waterside bar. Michael and Ceci, property managers, were very accessible the entire stay. They arranged a golf cart cab to pick us up from the water taxi, helped us get new towels, and had somebody bring our bikes to the cottage. Only drawback would be the shower that seemed to only have cold water but when you end up sunburned like we did and exhausted from the heat, it didn't feel too bad. We also got so preoccupied with other things on our stay that we never asked anyone to look into it or fixing it. We really liked staying a tad bit south because it was very quite and peaceful at night and in the morning. Highly, highly recommend this stay to friends and family! Caye Caulker is so laid back and really puts you in that vacay mood of forgetting about everything else. Belize in general has a ton of activities to do, we recommend visiting the Mayan Ruins on the mainland and snorkeling on Caye Caulker. Also, bring cash, it's best. Amazing food on Caye Caulker, everything is fresh, the locals all speak English and they're friendly to everyone. We can't wait to go back, and when we do, we'll be staying at this cottage or one of the others next door from the same company. Thanks Jeff, Michael, and Ceci for making our stay great!
