Located in an outdoor playground just 1/2 mile from the Fawn Lake entrance of DuPont State Forest and less than 2 miles from Green River Preserve with close proximity to the Mountain Bridge Recreation Area, Pisgah National Forest, Davidson River, and the breweries and music scene of Brevard. Let the sound of water falling lull you to sleep at this Cedar Mountain hide-a-way. The Treehouse sits between 2 ponds, soon to be fully stocked, and offers 7 acres to hike and enjoy - especially at sunset. For those that love mountain biking, the Treehouse is only a five minute ride from the Fawn Lake entrance to Dupont. No more fighting for parking spots to access some of the best mountain biking and gravel riding east of the Mississippi. For those that simply want to hike, fish, or swim in the beautiful lakes, streams, and waterfalls of DuPont, there is equally easy access.
The cabin is tastefully furnished and features: two bedrooms (one queen and two twins), one bathroom, central AC/heat, wi-if, fireplace, eat-in, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, living room, laundry room with washer and dryer. The location was perfect. The outdoor space and surrounding area was peaceful. Host was very accommodating and was quick when replying to questions and issues. We would definitely stay here again.
Very clean and cozy.. The wife and I like it very much. Nice and quiet place to unplug and relax. We are jeep people, if you know you know.
Plenty of trails around to hit with alot of great views. Im sure we will be back.
We had a lovely stay at this Cedar Mountain gem. It was the perfect space for me, my husband, and our baby for a family Christmas nearby. The hosts gave great directions and instructions and we found everything we needed. Thank you for hosting us!
We had a pleasure to meet the owners of the property and one problem - we only mentioned - they solved immediately!
The cabin is very comfortable and everything works perfectly.
Our stay at 'The Treehouse' was absolutely what we needed as family. The stay is literally across the road from Dupont State Forest and amazing waterfalls, hiking, biking, and mountain top views. The rental is nestled nicely in a mountain cove and even has a fun little trail on the property. The ponds are relaxing to view and the fire pit was perfect for smore's and gathering around. The small town of Cedar Mountain is minutes away if you want to run down to get amazing food at Cedar Mountain Cafe or a cold one at the local watering hole there. For groceries, it is a short drive into Brevard, where we went to Ingles. The Treehouse is a jam up little place to stay with just the right amount of peace and quiet, but the great outdoors full of adventure right at your doorstep. Thank you to our hosts Betsy and Jon for allowing us to stay here. Thank you also Betsy for the great communication all around!
My wife and I spent 5 nights in this mountain hollow bungalow. The leaves were near peak colors. We enjoyed the screen porch overlooking the ponds, marveling at the landscaped beauty. On top of that, this place is right next to the DuPont Recreational Forrest. Awesome! This rental was full of small details that warrant a full 5 star experience.
We loved the Treehouse! My husband and I were very comfortable there. The bed was comfortable, bathroom had a nice sized vanity to set our personal items on it, bath towels were nicer than my own at home, ha! We love being outside, and this place has beautiful outdoor space. The morning after our long trip there it was nice to explore the 7 acres on the small trails. We had an awesome campfire the night before we left. The fire pit was impressive, allowing for a really great fire. Best part about the Treehouse is it’s close proximity for DuPont, where world class singletrack goodness is. We rode into DuPont right from the Treehouse, and we got the opportunity to brag to other bikers about it, who couldn’t find parking. 😊
This was a great pick and stay! The Tree House was very warm inviting and most of it was CLEAN! This means a lot to me. My husband and I had a great time!
The property owners communicated quickly after rental and multiple times before our stay. All needed information was provided. Everything at the home was as described and shown in the pictures. Very quiet area surrounded by nature. Fishing ponds showed no sign of fish and the kitchen could use some new pots and pans/cooking utensils. Neither of these things kept us from throughly enjoying our Christmas at the Tree House, complete with a large fire in the amazing fire pit.
The cabin was very cozy and well equipped. Great spaces inside the house making for a comfortable stay. Beautiful yard with 2 ponds and firepit. Lovely surroundings. Near Great hiking trails. Bit of a drive to town but worth it. Highly recommended.
Great property and good location for outdoor activities. Cell service is really bad but great WiFi connection available. The only negative thing to say would be the amount of fish in the stocked ponds. I believe it may have once been stocked but the number of fish was actually pretty low. This could just be an issue with over fishing, but hey if you caught something every time, it’d be called catching and not fishing. It was nice being able to practice casting and fly placement near the weeds in the larger pond. The owner is very accessible and nice to deal with. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that enjoys the outdoors.
