Maybe it’s just me, but many of the older hotels in older buildings smell like a sewer. Unfortunately our room our bathroom in particular smelled like a sewer. Beautiful property, high ceilings, helpful staff, but needs some upgrades, especially to the plumbing system.

Incomplete address. Finally found locked reception door at 14:40. Rang bell. No answer. Phoned. Staff arrived, told me parked car was ok but had to pay until 18:00. No mention that had to pay next day starting at 7:00. Requested double room got 2 twins. Told to push them together to make bed myself. Stairs tripping hazard, so many different heights. Had to go out in rain next morning to pay parking. Then had to show restaurant staff proof of included breakfast. So many places with better parking nearby. Definitely won’t return for staff interaction.
