"The Chateau is stunning, our check in was very good and our room lovely. However, to be clear, although it's marketed on websites such as Hotels.com, it is not a hotel in the traditional sense. There is no service provided at all apart from an average, 'self serve' breakfast. The photos we saw online of beautiful pastries unfortunately did not materialise. "We used this motel as a stay over on our way down to Granite lake for fishing. There are purpose built Self contained log cabins in the grounds of the main building which we stayed in. It was perfect for our needs. Very basic but very clean and comfortable which the price reflects and we were 100% satisfied and enjoyed the owners and locals hospitality. The food and wine was very nice too!"

"The area around the property is an old town that has seen better days. Some properties have been restored beautifully and there is some amazing medieval architecture. Very close by is free, convenient parking and the area felt very safe. The patron is charming and helpful and the owner of a nearby excellent restaurant, serving wonderful food. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was continental and more than adequate."
