"My husband and I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki during our trip to Hawaii, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing especially since it was the first day of our trip and my husband’s birthday. After a late check-in, we discovered that the TV in our room was not even working. Maintenance had to come late at night while we were already trying to go to sleep, which was a huge inconvenience and not how we wanted to spend the evening on a special occasion. For a hotel in Waikiki, we were also surprised that there were no room upgrades available, and the overall quality of the room felt below expectations. The lighting in the room was very dark, making the space feel uncomfortable and poorly designed. Parking was another major issue. Valet parking costs $60 per day, and there is no self-parking available, so guests are forced to find public parking around the corner. This was extremely inconvenient and added unnecessary stress during our stay. On top of that, the resort fees are incredibly high, especially considering the amenities are minimal. The hotel only has a very small pool, which we didn’t even use, making the added fees feel unreasonable. To make matters worse, the hotel management was unprofessional and unhelpful when we addressed these issues. Overall, this stay felt like a waste of money, especially since we chose this hotel to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Sadly, it ended up being a frustrating experience rather than a memorable one. "

"We got an ocean view room with a small balcony, nice place to sit and enjoy watching the waves, surfers and people enjoying the sun. You can enjoy the beach, just few steps away. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always greet you with a smile. The hotel is in the middle of waikiki strip and across the street from International market(mall), very convenient!"

"Breakfast was relatively basic but enjoyable, pool is tiny and a little lackluster. The cleaners were awful however. In the 8 days they only tried to come through three times at the most random hours. And only half cleaned when they did come. Staff were wonderful and overall cleanliness was great. "

"We had 2 rooms reserved and were able to open the connecting door which was great. We requested ocean view and got both ocean and city view which was great. They offer clean fresh beach towels every day. The location, cleanliness and friendly staff were all great. I recommend Marriott wholeheartedly. "

"Room condition was dated (faucet and sink fixtures were rusted). Overall friendly staff. Great location close to shops and walking distance to the beach. Easily accessible by trolley to get to Ala Moana Center. "

"The ocean view was nice but at an angle as in the photos. You cannot see the Friday night fireworks from this hotel. The room was clean but it seems there are different staff who clean the room on different days since the number of towels replaced changed in the middle of our stay (from 3 sets to just 2 and then back to 3 sets). 25% of the time at least on of the elevators was out of service and there were 2 nights were the hot water was just lukewarm. I expected more since there was also a daily resort fee (about $50 per day). Not my best stay at a Sheraton property - not sure if I would stay here again. "
