Hôtel Lyret

10/10 Excellent

"I do not give many hotels a rating of 5/5, but this little hotel had a lot going for it. They had a person actually at the reception desk. Not a code to enter, or a phone to gain access, but a real person, who was always there and was very nice. Internet was fast. Beds were comfortable and made up well Breakfast was good. Driving there was confusing. This is how to do it. It is on a one-way road. You enter from the mountain side and stop to the side of the barricade. Have someone run into the hotel and ask them to bring out the key to open the barricade. Enter the street and turn immediately to the left next to the hotel. Unload and then continue down the one way road to park (no barricade to leave)."

"Have used this hotel in the past - I think about 6 other visits; it's our 'go-to' Chamonix hotel. Very clean, lovely helpful staff. Quaint style with well appointed rooms. Close to restaurants and shops and short walk to the bus stop. Can walk to the cable car station for the Brevent. It has other amenities that we have not yet tried like the spa and hot tub, restaurant (always have been too much on the go to hike). We will be back"
