The big plus is friendly staff, good kitchen, value for money when on all inclusive. Otherwise, there are some things which need attention. That said, I would like to thank Louis the general manager for taking time to listen to what I had to say. By the way, the hotel group have another property that is the Galini Palace.

Chania break

Gallini hotel was a nice stay. The staff were really good - reception, dining room, and room service. They provided a really professional, and friendly atmosphere. Special thanks to Sofia - customer relations Manageress. She helped us with tours, transfers, and good advice on excursions which we wholeheartedly appreciate. Our first day is quite bad as they gave us a room that is not as im expecting from the photo advetisement... after i complained they moved as to a nicer rooom which makes me happy and comfortable. The hotel should not be 5 star, we would give it 3. Private pool very small also not secured so anybody can come in via terrace. I did not like bathroom not nice colours and it does not look like bathroom in 5 star hotel at all. Room itsepf was nice ,same sitting area in patio. Food ok but same all the time and nothing amazing but I was ok as I could always find things to eat. I did not like they did not have tea/ coffee at lunch and dinner time on the restaurant ( you had to go to reception or pool bar).location ok, good communication to chania by bus. Beach ok.

Property exterior looks good but it’s not very well clean and maintained. Our room had mould on walls. Bathroom smells of dirty stagnant water. Mould around shower door and sink. Our leak we flooded the bathroom and had to stay in room for two nights before we got a different room. My daughter has allergies which prone to skin conditions exposure to dust and inhale of mould. I have all the pictures of how disgusting the room is and even when we were change room was a bit better but still dirty. House keepers did understand when we explain about the bathroom and dust everywhere. They came and use bleach to mask the scent of the stagnant water. The positive was choice of food was different ever from the main restaurant.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location it offers a nice view and is just a few minutes from the beach. However, the rooms are outdated and fall far short of a 5-star standard. The restaurant is chaotic, with a lack of seating, dirty tables, and repetitive food that is often cold by the time you get to the table. The Albanian bar staff, particularly the manager at the pool bar, are extremely rude and clearly inexperienced. Drinks are charged for after 11 PM ( even for all inclusive guests) Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again. Don’t be fooled by the pictures or pricing it does not match the advertised quality. This hotel is a 3 star hotel not 5 for sure.

The hotel was very cute and quite. Staff were very helpful and friendly. But this hotel for sure is not a five star as the hotel is very old and need refurbishment, also the food is not for a five star hotel, food options is very limited, i have been to many all inclusive hotels and never seen some thing like this.

The hotel seems a bit worn. If you want a quiet and relaxing holiday and perhaps are not very young, you should not choose this hotel. The music by the pool is very loud, and let's just say the music selection is very youthful. If you have a room facing the pool, the music can be heard clearly from 10 AM to 10-11 PM every day. We tried to address this, but we were not taken seriously. We have stayed at the hotel several times, but this was the last time. We are around 60 and generally quite up-to-date, but this was far beyond acceptable. Many agreed.

an unfortunate experience

we were firstly offered a room in the depths of the hotel which was almost inaccesable with approx 20 steps we were then given a room which had no wardrobes no cupboards and no draw space and had to live out of our suitecase for the week the internal phone did not work at all there were no pluses at about this hotel and should never be rated as five star which we expected and think that you should send a rep for first hand experience

Room for improvements

Over all experience, it’s okay, the hotel is in need of refurbishment especially exteriors areas just some of the examples again, this might be a one off, but this is my personal experience no air condition on and off for 48 hours in temperatures, reaching 46c outside No water running at times during my 5 day stay also there is charge for all and then refunded at the end of the stay example need towels €10 euro each need a extra key €10 euros never been charged in a 5 star hotel before ? This hotel is more like a 3 star to 4 star at best But staff was very helpful and polite. I think it’s just the rules for the hotel that have been put in place that had to follow, but they could not be so more to help you considering the circumstances.

BEWARE DO NOT STAY HERE

This place was horrendous! If you’re looking for a beautiful, typical Greece getaway then do not stay here. This was more of a Mexican style resort. Including Mexican food at the buffet??? The staff was extremely rude and arrogant, and spoke behind your back in Greek. There is no customer service at all. They stated that this property is on the beach. It is NOT and I repeat it is NOT on the beach! You have to walk quite a bit to get to the beach. The pictures look absolutely nothing like the hotel does in person. The lobby is dark, dreary, and dirty. Going into breakfast buffet in the morning there were still sauce stains from the night before. They do not do a good job cleaning the rooms. They basically just do the beds. We had to get them up there because we had a huge bug in the washroom. They didn’t even clean the washroom. We had a cup on the bug…And they didn’t even step foot in the washroom. Overhearing other guests complaining that it was three days and their room was not cleaned. I can’t understand how a resort like this is running so poorly. Ahtni who is one of the drivers of a golf cart that gets you halfway down a very steep hill is the only good thing about that hotel. She was extremely kind, friendly and gave you information something that the front desk couldn’t seem to do she should be a manager behind the desk because the other managers on staff were completely useless. When you would complain, they would care less. The music by the pool is loud rap crap!

Property definitely not 5 star ! Many things not as expected after previous 5 star experiences! Pool was very small , made to seem mich bigger on advertising, surrounded by balconese beds which was intimidating! rooms alrhough clean were under equipped- no drawers ? Open wardrobe , no mirror above vanity table, although vanity stool was there ? Pool towel exchange in a basket in front of reception - very unsuitable and untidy! Bathroom areas around reception not checked and cleaned during the day - was needed. Entertainment was very poor - disappointed no Greek music, dancing. Good points- breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied, cleaners worked hard , staff were generally very pleasant, although on checking out nobody thanked us for staying and basically ignored us , just chatting amongst themselves - topped off quite an underwhelming stay.

Vi bodde där 9 nätter. Lakanen byttes först efter att vi sagt till dag 7 Maten var helt feltänkt, eftersom det är all inclusive vill man äta sina måltider på hotellets restauranger. Tyvärr satsade de på att laga ett 20tal varmrätter helt utan salt eller smak istället för att göra 4-5 st med lite kärlek. All läsk och fruktdryck ( går inte att kalla det juice) var inhemsk med betoning på hemsk. Den användes dessutom till att förstöra den digra drinklistan tillsammans med den utspädda alkoholen som förövrigt var brännvin med olika essenser. Personalens bemötande var helt ok och hotellet var rent. Av bilderna ser det ut som att det ligger vid havet, men det ligger på en kulle. Det går ständiga transporter med golfbilar från morgon till kl 23.00 till havet. Jag kan inte tänka mej att någon som bott här kommer tillbaka för ett andra besök, men hotellet är bra som hotell betraktat. All inclusive upplevelsen är dålig.

Accueil si on peut dire pas de plan pour localiser notre chambre dans tous ces bâtiments , finalement notre hébergement se situait dans une annexe moche de l’hôtel en contre -bas.Notre balcon donnait sur la rue principale axe La Canée-Platanias : trés bruyant !! Il faut remonter 3 fois par jour l'accès très pentu pour profiter de la restauration et de la piscine.Heureusement un système de navettes tourne en continu! Le ménage ? changement des serviettes tous les jours ,les draps en 10 js :non .De 8h à 16h le personnel de ménage déboule dans la chambre sans sommation car rien n'est prévu pour signaler notre présence !! Gros point fort : la gentillesse et efficacité de l'ensemble du personnel des navettes qui pallie comme il peut les anomalies et manquement de cet hôtel !!

Accueil froid d’un monsieur, je pense responsable. Notre chambre était pas top, les draps étaient tachées, les murs cloquées et nous avions le bruit des extractions qui étaient juste au-dessus de notre chambre Cependant, nous avons mangé correctement et il y avait un spectacle de danse sirtaki très sympa

En vecka med frugan

Vi hade i ärlighetens namn inte förväntat oss ett 5-stjärnigt hotell och det lever det inte upp till heller. Hotellet är lite slitet men servicen och engagemang att hjälpa till var det inget att klaga på. Vill man hänga vid poolen så är det trångt så vi valde att betala en slant för solstolar och parasoll vid hotellets strandläge och där finns dryck och snacks i baren vid stranden. Dryck och snacks ingår om man bokat all inclusive. Helt ok hotell för oss.
