Das Wasser war für die Jahreszeit (Oktober) zu kalt zum Baden. Aber laut Betreiber sollen nächstes Jahr ein Teil der Pools mit Wärmepumpen ausgestattet werden. "Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"À notre arrivée, avant d'entrer dans la chambre, nous avons été agréablement surpris par le jardin et la terrasse ombragée à l'arrière de la maison. Par contre, la chambre était exiguëe avec le lit contre un mur et pas de lampe de chevet. La lunette des wc n'était plus fixée. La nuit a été cauchemardesque : le lit grinçait à chaque mouvement, le matelas à ressorts était très inconfortable et les oreillers horribles. Bref, une nuit blanche bien que l'hébergement était très au calme "

"The property was perfect for what I was looking for—a place to sleep for a couple of nights while I explored the area around Heraklion. The landlady was there to greet me and offer me a lot of great suggestions for eating locally, local attractions, etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and quite comfortable enough for a couple of days’ stay.
