Absolutely Perfect for a family retreat for 8

We recently stayed at the Blue House for my son’s graduation. The host was organized and responsive, even helping us to find a bakery for a personal grad cake. The house is well stocked, welcoming and clean. Having a queen bedroom on the first floor with a full bath was clutch (my mom is 82) as was having 3 baths. Lots of nice walking distance options for eats and coffee. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful well kept house

Stayed here for Christmas week. House in great shape very well appointed and Steve was excellent host. Very comfortable for 8 people and parking was helpful. Only issue was location as to far toWalk to town but easy access to drive in. Location is in gentrifying neighborhood but quiet and peaceful

BAMA Belles say ROLL TIDE ROLL!

From the moments we saw the house, we thought it was charming! Upon entering, we realized the care and great furnishings the owner had provided. The kitchen and gathering rooms downstairs were our favorites. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were exceptional. Outside balconies and front porch added to the casual and and comfortable feel.

Perfect Family Getaway

My family spent a long weekend in Charleston to celebrate my birthday. The house was a perfect place for us to hang out - on the porches, in the hot tub and in the large common spaces. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the whole house is well equipped. We were close enough to walk to restaurants and the grocery story and a quick uber from everywhere we wanted to go. The hosts were gracious and accommodating and made excellent recommendations for dining. Highly recommend!

Charleston Visit

The home is very nice. A lot of work was put into this home to make it very comfortable. The owners have really made this into a wonderful house to stay in while visiting Charleston. The most popular part of Charleston is 1-2 miles away. I always appreciate the extra effort owners make so that guests feel welcome by insuring the house is ready for your visit.

Beautiful, well-appointed home

This home was perfect for our ladies trip to Charleston. Beautifully renovated, well-maintained, and fully stocked, it had everything we needed. Bedrooms were light and airy, and beds were very comfortable. Living spaces were cozy. Lots of thoughtful extras for our use. They thought of everything, and we felt right at home! Communication with Steven was excellent. He was so kind and accommodating! Location is in a transitioning neighborhood, and trips to the historic district require a car or Uber. But we had no problems and it worked well for our needs. Would definitely recommend The Blue House.

Girls trip to Charleston

We had a fantastic time in Charleston and our host, Steve, was terrific. The house was as described and Steve made sure we were completely satisfied with the accommodations. Our group of 5 women were able to feel comfortable with the 4 bedrooms and the 3 bathrooms easily met our needs. A kitchen fully equipped with all the right tools, and a popcorn maker with the corn and oil made for a fun snack at the end of the day once we wrapped up our time downtown. Easy access, either walking or by Uber, we readily made our way to town. Plenty of space for us to hang out and catch up during our girls weekend. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Great Family Get-away

Well maintained property. Owner was very helpful when we had questions. He re-located the grills to make it more convenient for us to use them. Even though we checked out at noon, he was very generous to allow our son and his girlfriend to leave their luggage in the house for hours since they weren’t flying out till later that evening. There were lots of extras in the house for our convenience- laundry detergent, napkins, paper towels, spices, and so on.

A Charleston Dream at the Blue House!!!

If you’re looking for a vacation spot that feels like it was plucked straight out of Pinterest and sprinkled with Southern charm, the Blue House is it. This place was chef’s kiss perfection. Let’s just say we wanted for nothing—except maybe a personal butler, but hey, the Blue House almost felt like it came with one. The backyard was the real MVP: a fire pit for stories, and plenty of space for some lounging. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows or roasting your family’s bad jokes, this backyard has you covered. Comfortable, stylish, and so relaxing that we briefly considered forgetting to check out. Whoever designed this place thought of everything. If you need a Charleston getaway that feels like home but better, look no further.

Charming, Comfortable, and Perfect for Dogs

We had a fantastic stay at the Blue House! The space was clean, well-decorated, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The historic charm of the Blue House is preserved beautifully, with modern updates throughout that made our stay comfortable and convenient.The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the bathrooms had everything we could ask for—plenty of towels, toiletries, and a clean, modern feel. There was also plenty of room for our group to relax.One of the best parts was how well it accommodated our three dogs. The fenced yard was a huge bonus—it gave them space to play safely, and it gave us peace of mind. It’s not always easy to find a pet-friendly spot that truly works for dogs, but this place delivered.Steve, our host, was incredibly attentive and helpful. His communication was exceptional—quick, clear, and thoughtful. He went above and beyond for us, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and offering great local recommendations. You can tell he really cares about the guest experience.The location was great—close enough to downtown Charleston to explore easily, but tucked away in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Parking was easy, and check-in was smooth and well-organized.We really appreciated the attention to detail in the setup. Everything was clearly labeled, and the whole process was seamless from start to finish. We'd absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!
