"We had a delightful visit to Avignon, using all three apartments offered by this host. The apartments were spread across four floors and provided plenty of room for my family to spread out. As the listing states, it is eclectically decorated with lots of odds and ends all over. We could never locate the laundry machine, but there was a great laundromat nearby. The location was superb for exploring Avignon."

"Séjour plus que parfait. L’environnement est verdoyant, très bien entretenu, calme et serein. Piscine privée sans vis-à-vis avec vue sur les chevaux. Martine est attentive à notre bien-être tout en étant discrète. Elle a fait de ce lieu un petit havre de paix. Le bungalow est climatisé et très fonctionnel. "This hotel is in an excellent location, just inside the city walls. It is easy to walk to restaurants and places of interest. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds are lovely. We were joining a river cruise and our boat was an easy 10-minute walk away."

"The hotel is well maintained and staff are helpful. The environment is relaxing. However, for lunch we waited over an hour for our mains with no acknowledgement or reason given in a restaurant that was not busy. Our room had the distinct smell from the kitchen a few floors below."

You will need to have a car as it’s somewhat remote beyond the little town it’s in, but the rural feeling allows you to relax."

"This is a really special hotel suffering from under-investment. The staff I met—from the front desk, to housekeeping, and the bar/restaurant—were all working hard. But there were never enough of them to make the place run smoothly. The beautiful property (ok, except the “modern wing,” where rooms are more akin to SROs) just isn’t being maintained lovingly. From a clogged shower drain, knicked up furniture, and broken glass louvered walls, to an inability to serve room service while hosting an event in the courtyard, lots of indications the place is under-staffed. The facilities crew obviously hadn’t done a routine check of basic systems in a while and the kitchen staff served exactly the same foods every breakfast. If the owners would just invest, this could absolutely be a 4 star property of the finest kind. As it is, expect kindness and a 2.5 star experience."
