  • Experience true 'life on the bayou' in a heritage Louisiana fishing community. Beautiful 100% newly renovated interior on this waterfront property. We happy to announce our exterior renovations are finally complete including a new spacious 36 x 15 ft deck extending over the edge of the bayou!

    3 Bedroom / 2 full bath includes Jacuzzi tub in master bath. Granite counters and maple cabinets throughout. Full size utility room with W/D. First floor is elevated approximately 10 from ground, storage underneath.

    Conveniently located within minutes of charter fishing, and great self guided fishing opportunities.Don't forget to take a swamp tour while you are in Cajun country.
    Enjoy local parades during the entire Mardi Gras season. Local parade routes are within a few miles of the unit. Houma has many parades only 20 minutes away; and take a day trip to New Orleans for a once in a lifetime event like Zulu, Bachus, Rex, or Endymion!

Great Louisiana Getaway!

We wanted a change of pace from our typical mountain vacation so we chose Chauvin for the fishing and south Louisiana culture. This home is beautifully equipped with everything you and your friends and family need to have a relaxing stay. It is clean, spacious, and very comfortable.

We loved this property. It was very welcoming and comfortable. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom was very comfy. You can fish right at the house and do some crabbing :)

Awesome place with a view

We have stayed here multiple times and have not been disappointed. The place is super clean and bed is super comfy. We love sitting out back in the evenings after fishing and enjoy the porch that is shaded in the evening. Thanks for sharing your place with us again. We will see you soon!

Great location close to Cocodrie dock, where we met our guides. Spacious, clean, and comfortable house. We had plenty of room for good conversations on the deck or living room. Close to Piggly Wiggly. Very helpful owner.

Wonderful Bayou Getaway!

We stayed at the property with another couple for a Louisiana adventure. This home was near were we charter fished so it was great for early mornings. On the other days we enjoyed an airboat ride, New Orleans and Grand Isle. The property was located perfect for us. We sat on the deck every night watching gators and fishing. We also caught some crabs durning our stay! I would definitely recommend this property.

A time too unwind

The property was really nice and clean ,the house also was very clean, not too big but ! Not too small , met some wonder neighbors ,real loving people, fishing wash great , seafood shop was in walking distance, ,back deck is second to none when it comes , to the sun rise and set .a beautiful sight, will definitely be back next year, one of the best places to visit in Louisiana 👍💯

Family Fishing weekend

This was a very comfortable and enjoyable weekend . We had everything we needed at our fingertip . The owners answer our question and return our call in a timely manner . Also the owner allow us earlier check in . The fishing and shrimping was excellent that weekend . I would definitely rate our experience a 10 out of 10. Our only regret was not booking our stay longer .

GREAT CAMP!

What a great trip! We stayed at this camp from 4/3/24 to 4/07/24 and it was exactly as described. Very roomy, very clean, and very nicely appointed. The area under the back deck is perfect for fishing and crabbing out of the elements. The location was great - close to several fishing spots that we frequent. The owner Raymond was quick to respond with any questions we had and was a pleasure to deal with. We will be booking this camp again later in the summer for sure! Just go ahead and click the "book" button - you will not be disappointed in any way!

Full of unique experiences

AMAZING place to stay. What a great place! Gators every night. At least 4 different individuals. Caught enough blue crab for a boil for 6 adults over two nights. Within in 90 minutes of New Orleans and Gtand Isle (amazing beaches). 45 minutes away from “Air Boat Tours by Arthur” (1-800-975-9345). We went on a sunset cruise with them. Certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity for us! Was AMAZING. House had everything we needed. A wonderful base camp for a wonderful experience.

Love this Bayou Retreat!

Coming from New York and New Jersey, I love this location and property. It has everything needed to just relax and enjoy myself on the Bayou. The deck was amazing.. Even in the extreme heat of a Louisiana August, I could sit outside all day and watch the wildlife. It was a very comfortable stay of 13 days. We BBQ'd, and also brought food back to picnic outside from the many different restaurants in Houma. My Mother enjoyed the lower level bedroom and bath and I had the 2nd floor bedroom and bath to myself, which was perfect! The 3rd bedroom is a bonus, we just didnt need to use it. Its a great space with tons of room. If you love the Bayou area and don't want to be too far from civilization, I highly recommend this sweet spot!

This place was great. Great property, great property owner, great location, and plenty of shrimp, crabs and fish from the back of the house. We loved the daily visits from the little gator in the canal. My father and my son and I caught plenty of redfish in the local marshes around the area.

Best/Much Needed Weekend

Loved the camp. Beautiful and clean. My kids are trying to get me to move back to Louisiana. Absolutely enjoyed our time there. Definitely want to go back.
