Tucked away on a private road, our charming two-bedroom cottage is your ticket to a tranquil northern MI adventure. Thankfully, we were not impacted by the April 2026 floods.

This is our family cottage, and we're excited to make it available to guests coming up to the Black Mountain recreation area!

Extremely private - no other homes can be seen from the property. The cottage is close to the lake, but not lakefront.

960 square feet with kitchen, full bath, and laundry. Large covered front porch and rear back patio. Large fire pit area. Lots of hammock-ready trees.

2 bedrooms. 1 king bedroom. Second room has a bunk bed with a twin upper, full lower, and twin trundle. The cottage can comfortably fit 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3-4 kids, between the two bedrooms. There is also a queen air mattress that can be used in the living room.

Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Gather all used towels or rags and start a load of laundry. Pop the detergent pod directly in the drum, rather than the detergent drawer.
Place any and all trash in trash bags. Take trash out and place it in the black garbage can at end of driveway.
