North Carolina Family vacation

What a great cabin to stay in! The view was gorgeous. The cabin was exceptional. The hosts did all they could to make our stay great. The first two days we did not venture out from the cabin due to rain, but we had plenty of board games to keep us entertained. The wrap-around porch was fantastic! I would highly recommend a stay in the cabin. Will not regret your decision to stay here.

Wonderful time in Tuckasegee

We had a wonderful time. The owners were attentive to anything we needed and wonderful to work with. They thought of everything to keep all ages happy from ping pong to games along with a fire pit and beautiful views. It made our time there feel like a second home. Thank you!

Beautiful home

This is such a beautiful property and Beverly & Michael are wonderful hosts. There is so much to do at the cabin for all ages. It is a wonderful place to relax and watch nature.

The perfect escape

The property was perfect! Gorgeous views, fully stocked and super comfortable. We had the best time playing games, watching movies, and enjoying the views. Wonderful nearby towns. We drove to Waynesville to cut down our Christmas tree and enjoyed shopping and food in Highlands. Highly recommend!

Amazing Space in the Mountains - Tuck'd In

The cabin was positively as represented, and more! Everything you need to entertain family and friends... and the views are beyond description. Our Hosts were clear and concise in their communications with us and checked in on us after check-in and during the stay. Love this place and plan on finding an opportunity to return.

This property is hands down amazing! It’s so clean and breathtakingly beautiful. They covered all the details in making memories with your family. The waterfalls 20 min away were the best experiences ever!!! This home is a must see and such hospitable hosts!!!! We will be back over and over for sure.

Family Vacation 2021

This is one of the best properties we have stayed at. The pictures do not compare to it in person. The views are amazing and the sound of the creek was so relaxing. Perfect cabin for making family memories

Tuck’d Inn was set up so that everyone (three generations) could enjoy the beauty of the mountains with plenty to do right there on the property. The wrap around porch offered a beautiful area for outdoor meals, the rocking chairs were great for quiet moments at the beginning or ending of each day and the porch and rounds swings as well as the hammock's provided lots of fun for the kiddos. The games, corn hole and fire pit all added to the fun. Having three separate levels for bedrooms allowed for quiet and restful sleep. The kitchen provided all that we needed for making meals. Beverly, one of the hosts was excellent at keeping in touch and getting back if we had any questions. Hands down, this cabin was a wonderful experience and getaway!

Mountain View Fun for All Ages

We had a 5 star experience at Tuck’d Inn. The hosts offered amenities that went above and beyond our expectations. As a professional Travel Agent I would eagerly recommend this location, and this specific cabin to multigenerational families. There were so many amazing games, movies, and outdoor activities for all ages. We we a short drive to go horseback riding, a marina for a pontoon rental, shopping in Cashiers, The Great Smoky Mountain Railway, etc. One week was not long enough to enjoy the amazing Mountain View’s and the sound of the creek from the huge wrap-around decks. We will be back!

Great, fun and relaxing!!!

Very clean. Beds were comfortable. The view was amazing! Not only from the porch but from inside as well. All the essentials were provided but there is a Dollar General about 10 minutes away. Even on rainy days we had plenty to do. Communication was a real plus! We were checked on at least once a day. Any questions we had were answered very quickly. Be sure to read and understand all the details provided. We highly recommend staying here.

"Tuck'd Inn" Catamount Country

Our family of 6 visited for WCU's family weekend and this property exceeded all our expectations! The cabin was clean and welcoming, with lovely decor, had everything you might need in a kitchen, well appointed bathrooms, and comfortable sleeping accommodations. As wonderful as the interior of the home was, the pictures online just do not do the exterior justice! We couldn't get enough of the breathtaking view from the porch swings, spectacular. We also enjoyed the hammocks, the fire pit, and table tennis. Had the weather not been as beautiful as it was, we would have had plenty to keep us occupied inside, dvds, games, and the pac man arcade machine. All in all, a very well appointed home, close to area sightseeing and WCU. The hosts have literally thought of everything prior to their guests' arrival. We would be thrilled to be able to stay here again on return trips to the area.

What an awesome cabin! Couldn't ask for more.

Wonderful views of the mountains with a giant wrap around porch. Cabin is just the right size with enough space to spread out while steel keeping that cozy cabin feel. My family enjoyed all the activities at the cabin (ping pong, fuse ball, arcade games, board games, hammocks, swings, basketball, cornhole, etc..) and the surrounding area. The boat ramp to Bear Creek lake is less than 10 minutes, and access to trout fishing in the Tuckasegee river is less than 20. There are hiking trails everywhere around this area, and we found a different one for each day of our trip. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for the whole family in the evening and the fire pit area made for relaxing star filled nights. Thanks to the hosts for their clear communication and for sharing this wonderful home. We look forward to our return.

Wrap around deck with a spectacular view!

Everything we expected and more, the pictures don't do it justice! From the comfortable King size bed to the well appointed kitchen to the great game room, this cabin has it all. Coffee on the deck in the morning, we saw the last of the peak colors this fall. the standing heater on the deck, came in handy after some cold weather came through. What a great location, if you want a good view of the mountains you have to be in them and this cabin has a perfect deck view that you never get tired of. Great seating all over, Adirondack chairs, swings, rockers, comfortable dining set, all with that great view. We spent one night sitting around the fire pit making smores and popping popcorn. A memorable week in the mountains and our hosts Michael and Beverly were very gracious.

Best Cabin

This was absolutely the best cabin we have ever stayed in! I traveled with husband and my kids, my parents and sister and her kids. The kids had the most fun, there was so much to do at the cabin. There was so much space outside for the kids to run around, the swings were entertainment for hours, corn hole, ping pong. Inside we had intense foosball games, spent time trying to beat the high score on pac man and much more. The hosts were the best hosts from any cabin we have stayed at. They have put a lot of thought into all the things little and small. Beverly messaged me often with any updates, loads of info on cabin and things to do around town. She checked on us during our stay and was super fast to respond. Gave us tips during our stay, such as turning the cabin lights off and checking out the stars. It was as spectacular as she said it would be. The cabin was so clean and we felt right at home, but with a much better view, which was also amazing!! We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful wedding weekend in the Mtns!

Arrival at the cab and access was so easy- Beverly & Michael communicate well through the entire process and never leave you with any unanswered questions. A beautiful 3 story cabin nestled in the perfect place to overlook the valleys of green and mountains In the background. When outside on the porch or at the fire pit you could hear a small creek bubbling by- so peaceful and serene.comfortable beds and a great set up in the living areas with all you could possibly need. Michael and Beverly provided the nicest welcome basket with a few K cups, creamer, and snack foods to get us started. Since we arrived late this was a great thing to find upon arrival! Although you were out in the woods you were only about five minutes from a Dollar general and Jimmy’s mini market where you can get lots of items. If you are looking for a full grocery store you are only about 15 minutes away from Silva where you will find three different ones. Very centrally located and easy to find and access. 5 adults getting ready at once for a formal wedding at Castle LadyHawke was very easy given the number of rooms, bathrooms, and space to spread out. We will definitely stay here again when we are back this way. Feels like home!

Motorcycle Trip with Friends

This house was exactly as described and the view was amazing! Plenty of space for seven adults - my husband and I took the king bed in the loft and my legs were screaming by the end of the trip but, hey, I didn't gain any weight!! Kitchen is very well stocked. All of our time at the house was spent either on the deck or by the fire pit - the weather was AWESOME!! The driveway is a bit steep but nothing an experienced rider can't handle. Plenty of good rides within one to two hours of this house: 1) Blueridge Parkway, 2) Nantahala National Forest, 3) The Moonshiner (Hwy. 28), 4) Dragon Tail, or just head out the driveway and start riding - I don't think you would find a boring road up there! There is no cell signal so the WiFi is definitely a must even though it was a bit sporadic in certain spots. The A/C unit for the 2nd and 3rd levels was not working while we were there so it was a bit warm after coming in from riding, but the weather was so nice we just opened the windows and it cooled off in about 30 minutes or so. Left the windows open at night and it was perfect. This was in no way the owners' fault which is why I am not rating lower. Michael and Beverly were great hosts. Michael tried to get someone out to fix the A/C on Saturday but, unfortunately, they did not show up when promised. Thanks Michael and Beverly!

Beautiful home in the mountains

This property was perfect for our group of 5 adults and one teenager. The views of the mountains are incredible and the house was well stocked, comfortable, and had lots of fun activities. The hosts checked in several times to make sure our stay was going well. We loved our stay here and would return again!

Incredible Mountain Getaway

Amazing mountain view from many places inside the house and on the deck. The owners are very responsive and put a lot of thought into making the stay memorable. Indoor/outdoor games, fire pit, swings, basketball hoop, plenty to do at the house when you're not out and about. When you are out, there is great hiking and a number of really cool mountain towns to eat, shop and adventure in. We had a blast staying at Tuck'd In.
