Great air conditioner! Beds very comfortable. Lighting in rooms was outstanding in comparison to other places I have stayed. The only thing was the breakfast was minimal and didn't have many choices as I have seen at others. I would stay again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Bryson City Microtel. We were just coming in for one night and there were limited selections of quality hotels in the area. Being part of a larger chain, we thought it would be a reasonable choice. Much to our surprise, our room was as nice as much higher priced hotels in larger cities. The amenities were spare and the included breakfast was, well we went to a restaurant for breakfast instead of a limited choice of two cold cereals, small out-of-a bag bagels and marginal juice and coffee selections. However, In Bryson City, NC, for the price, it was a good choice.

This was a pretty decent 3 star hotel. The room was comfortable, we chose the suite so we'd have somewhere to sit other then the bed. It was spacious. The bathroom was decent. The one thing I can say was a "negative", was that the toilet was crazy short. Like it was made for a toddler. Felt you were falling forever to sit down. The bed was comfortable, so were the pillows. The only real amenities you get while staying here is breakfast, which is nice. I was very pleased there were "healthier" options. However, there was no fresh fruit. On the website it states you can use the fitness center next door, but it does not tell you there is a fee attached to that. All and all, it was a good stay. Would stay again.

The bed and bedding in my room was clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately the walk down the hallway had a terrible smell which could have come from cleaning up from dogs that were allowed. The ceiling in my room had mold in the corners. There had been a recent partial update; laminate floors and bathroom flooring. The shower drain and plastic tub were black at the drain. The countertop in the bath should have been updated because it was an old style Venetian marble from the 70’s. There was a window seat but the upholstery was all ripped up. Breakfast was nice, fresh and the coffee was good. One down side from allowing dogs in a hotel is that some room around me had a barking dog that acted up when I was trying to sleep. Maybe all those owners need to be on the same floor.

We had read some of the negative reviews and were hesitant about staying at this property but our experience was very good. We had 2 rooms. Clean hotel and helpful staff. Very nice and quiet. We thought the breakfast that is offered is good enough. 2 to 5 minute drive to downtown Bryson City. No complaints. We would stay here again.

We booked a two night stay while we explored the Great Smokey Mountain train ride. We were given a large handicapped room with 2 queen beds, even though we had not requested it. It gave us plenty of room to move around and be comfortable with 2 chairs and a desk. The shower was set up for wheelchair access, which you had to be careful not to get the floor wet when using as a regular shower. The staff was great and very helpful, breakfast was the typical continental breakfast with waffles. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
