"It was super close to the Shinsaibashi Dotonbori area, and a 5-15 minute Luup (scooter) ride away from most points of interest around town. Very clean, contemporary, basic, but with all the amenities you need in case you forgot your tooth brush, comb or even packaged qtips, nice bed, good adjustable ac, and tons of shops and restaurants within a short walk. It's an apartment with two flats, one on the second floor and one on the third floor, above a storefront about half way between the Ueno and Asakusa stations. That said, it's not bad as a rental apartment, and was a good fill-in for us when our Air BnB booking was cancelled on short notice. All of the communication with the owner was via the Expedia site - we never met anyone in person, but got check-in instructions via messages...
