Excellent location and make sure you visit the nearby Thermae-Yu Onsen. As they have the best thermal water and food!

Room was clean. Bed felt great and not too firm like other beds in Japan. It was just a very small room but cozy enough especially if you’re going to be out majority of the day. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

The staff, and the head chef and everyone involved, were extremely helpful and very respectful. Despite our language barrier, everyone was polite and kind. Very sad to leave, but no doubt that we will recommend the Granbell to anyone.

If you are not claustrophobic, then this hotel should be no problem. It’s in a part of town that has a very active night life. This hotel would be ideal for those looking for a night on the town all with in walking distance. Amenities were provided and I found them to be of good quality. Save some luggage space and leave the basic toiletries at home except for those that are specific to you. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I would rate it average because the breakfast food was nothing out of this world. Overall this is a great hotel for the younger traveler and a companion.

The hotel was really cute, they had a cafe and restaurant and rooftop bar with a beautiful view. Our room was cleaned everyday and the beds were super comfortable. Check in and check out was super easy and they let us leave our suitcases in the lobby even though it was check out time but we had time to kill before our flight. I would stay here again!

The hotel & room cleanliness was immaculate. The staff were so friendly & accommodating. The only issue I had with it was there was literally no room to store clothes so I don't think it is good for long holidays. The area is fine & not too long a walk to the train stations or restaurants.

The Shinjuku Granbell Hotel is very well located for exploring Shinjuku, with easy access to trains, restaurants, and nightlife. The room was clean and functional, but a bit worn for the price charged. I expected a fresher finish given the rate. Check‑in and services are efficient but quite automated and therefore somewhat impersonal. Good choice if you prioritize location and modern design, but be aware of the trade‑off on space and warmth of service.

The hotel is clean and located in an area with lots of restaurants and close to the metro and Shinjuku station were Narita Express arrives from the airport.
