"We booked Dal Canonico through Expedia we were going to a wedding at nearby Tenuta Pinto. The good : the pool, walking distance to Tenuta Pinto (warning - dusty track!), the gardens - fig trees, limes, olives and lots of places to sit, the yummy pastries at breakfast and the super, super helpful Alex -we were sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to him. Good to know: The rooms that have an ensuite (and cost more/ deluxe) are not in the main house but are in a meters-away barrel vault building that has no real windows and so you feel you are underground, which was a bit offputting. The rooms without ensuites are in the main house, and are characterful and have proper windows - so if you don't mind a short walk to the bathroom, these are by far the better rooms in my opinion. Not so good: it was was impossible to communicate with Dal Canonico in advance - even Expedia couldn't help. This was frustrating as we had booked months ahead and when we all finally heard from the hotel two days or so before we flew which it was too late - with one couple forced to pay for a night they weren't event going to be staying. Also, on the first night we had limited sleep due to a faulty hotel alarm going off intermittently but very loudly throughout the night. Alex apologised to us on behalf of the hotel which we appreciated but it would have been a nice touch to be offered a tiny gesture (free 2 euro swim cap perhaps?!) to make up for the lack of sleep in advance of the wedding!!"

"Beautiful house, Appolonia (not sure how to spell her name!) was very kind and helpful and accommodating. Convenient central location. There was espresso and light breakfast if you wanted it but there are also lots of cafes nearby. The beds are INCREDIBLY uncomfortable 😭 my body was in a lot of pain. Time for some new mattresses, or at the very least some memory foam covers. I asked to an extra pillow to cushion my back a bit but it was only so helpful. This was really my only complaint as the room was lovely besides that, with working AC, which is not common in Europe. But it is a big one and very simple to fix."

"everything was nice and new. There were 2 problems: expedia customer service. If I had to rate it, it would be 0 points. The other problem was that the central air conditioning was a bit loud when we slept in the living room. The hosts were very nice and attentive, they responded very quickly on WhatsApp, we got water, kv, little things that we didn't have elsewhere, and it was very nice. (detergent, dishwashing liquid, more toilet paper, 2x towel change per week, kv capsules). The terrace was spacious, the jacuzzi was pleasant in the evenings. The kitchen was well equipped, maybe a microwave would be good. The beds were comfortable, wifi worked well, although not always in the bedroom, but in the living room it was flawless."

"Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel lors de notre voyage dans les Pouilles. Si vous recherchez un endroit paisible, je vous le recommande sans hésiter. L’hôtel est récent, très propre et offre un excellent service. Le petit-déjeuner, inclus dans le séjour, est copieux et propose une grande variété de produits. Le tout à un prix très abordable. Nous avions réservé la suite no 5, qui dispose d’un balcon partagé. Comme l’hôtel était pratiquement vide lors de notre séjour, nous avons eu l’impression de profiter d’une immense terrasse privée. Une très belle expérience!"
