"We loved the personal touch this property provides to its guests. Alex greeted us with a smile and had a true Pura Vida spirit. Our unit had everything you would need. We loved the screened in porch area and the outdoor net to watch the stars at night. We also enjoyed the sunset overlook they have on property."

"This hotel benefits from several things, none more important than their incredibly friendly and hospitable staff. They truly make you feel special throughout your stay and returning the beautiful property every day makes it feels as though you're coming home. The property grounds are beautiful and the restaurant patio is to die for. Not spending every single morning sipping coffee from that restaurant patio would be a mistake. Thank you to Hotel Belmar for an unforgettable 4 days."

"Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."
