"The whole process of being able to stay there was awful. I had emails asking me to verify my identity but no correct link sent. I was threatened with a cancellation without refund desite the fact they had not given me the opportunity to do what they asked. Having finally been sent a link I verified and arrived to be told this was very common. At the property Fire Doors were constantly janmed open."

"Where to start, it was cheaper than most places in Newcastle but still wasn't worth what we paid. No air-conditioning, the kitchen drain smelled terrible, the toilet leaked, there were toenails in the bathroom, originally put in a two bedded room when there was 3 of us, very hot stuffy room, unable to open window properly as there was a chain lock preventing us. Beds were clean and fairly comfy."

"Always enjoy my stay at the hotel"

"I love the hotel but what I did not like this time was, I was not allocated a room until I arrived. So I ended up with a disabled room. I don’t know if it was because I was a solo traveller or maybe they thought I would not arrive or even because I did not pay until I arrived. It took about 10 minutes to check in when the person next to me checked in , in 2 minutes. Apart from that I like staying at the Maldron."

"We were put into a disabled access room, so had to move the seat in the 'wetroom' in order to get a shower properly. Also the floor of the wetroom didn't drain fully, so we had to constantly walk through a puddle of water. Toilet was very dated and the seat didn't fit perfectly, so a slight wobble if you needed to sit down to use! Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly, and this was the reason we would go back. Breakfast was very busy and had issues finding a free table and chair, however, we were informed the hotel was at full capacity. Buffet breakfast was ok."
