It was a safe and quiet place to stay at while exploring lake Titikaka. It’s worth to mention there is a custom control point every time you go back to Puno, and sometimes they take a while to let you through if you are driving. Overall a good place and staff was really attentive.

This place is really comfortable. It's a bit far away from other areas but the hotel itself is great. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food is really good. There is a pool and spa services if you are interested. It's a great spot for a couple of nights!

Amazing view of the lake and very comfortable room
As we approached the hotel,I was amazed by the flower fields and the amazing view of the lake the hotel had. Hotel staff were very helpful and responsive since the moment we got there. The property is beautifully maintained and has easy access to the lake. We even interacted with the locals working on nearby agricultural fields on our way to the lake which was awesome! I highly recommend the restaurant, it has great prices and the food was amazing. Try the lomo de alpaca!

Hôtel is to far and In the middle of nowhere, taxi needed for a simple restaurant and it takes one hour to get one

A really nice hotel, great view, excellent service and breakfast. However, it's 25 minutes out of town which is a bit of a bore. Also, other than the breakfast which was excellent, the hotel restaurant is a bit humdrum and I have the sneaking suspicion that dishes are pre-cooked then re-heated - you can taste it. However, Puno has plenty of good places to eat.

Beautiful view of Lake Titicaca
Our room was big, with a lovely view of Lake Titicaca, though the bathroom was a little dated. Surprisingly no bottles of water were provided in the room, unlike in other hotels. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food - both at breakfast and dinner - was excellent. We wanted to stay outside Puno, and were glad we made that decision, but it did cost PEN 30 in a taxi to go in to town. If you can get a good deal on the room rate, it's a good place to stay to see Lake Titicaca.

Basic hotel, 20 min outside of Puno
A basic hotel, about 20 minutes drive outside of Puno. A bit isolated and no other restaurants around except the hotel. Everything was basic and satisfactory. The rooms were not that clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The staff throughout this hotel were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious, with nice views and had everything I needed. I do not speak Spanish, but that was not a problem here. I was offered help when I became unwell from altitude sickness. Thank goodness I had such good accommodation.

A Pleasant Place to Stay
While we didn't check out the local area, the hotel did do a nice job of handling our requests and setting up a nice tour of the islands. Front desk personnel were wonderful and pretty good at speaking English for us. The breakfast was plentiful and first rate. We only had 1 dinner there and it was fantastic. I had the beef bourgignon and it was tender, and full of flavor. My wife had the grilled breast of chicken and it was the best we had on our entire trip. The hotel is a bit of a distance away from Puno (20 minutes) we found it to be a quiet area and the view of the lake was excellent. The pool was small but we found it relaxing.

Sleepy Town and Hotel - Clean and Relaxing Too
The Taypikala Hotel Lago was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We had the Junior King Suite, so the room was very spacious and had a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is modern, clean, and tailored to large groups. You could tell by the bus tours that stopped and stayed there each night. The restaurant on site provides the only option for food after 6pm (Mon-Friday), as the town of Chucuito is VERY small and only has very small local eateries that close early. However, the restaurant has a nice menu with good food that is priced at what you'd expect for a tourist destination. Chucuito has very very little to do, so expect the hotel to be your main and only attraction when staying here. The staff are all very friendly and were very helpful. Since Chucuito and the hotel are about 30 minutes from Puno, the only way into Puno is via taxi. They were helpful in getting us taxi service to and from Juliaca Airport (1.5 hours away), as well as into Puno. Note that you need to plan to wait 30 minutes for a taxi to arrive since they come from Puno. During our stay, a taxi ride into Puno was 30 soles (approx $10 USD with the current exchange rate). Outside of this help, I wouldn't expect too much help with planning tours with the front desk - save that for Puno tour companies near Plaza de Armas. It felt nice to stay away from the activity and grit of Puno.

Nice not in Puno
I traveled alone and had a wonderful stay especially after a long bus ride from Cusco.Met at the bus station. The staff was attentive and grounds relaxing. They made connections for tours to the lake and transfers to airport! They have great breakfast and dinners.

Enjoyed staying outside puno. Hotel arranged lake Titucaca tour and pick up. Room very comfortable clean and large. Problem twice with hot wAter but they were quick to respond both times. Comped late checkout upon request. Would stay here again.

An oasis
After hiking the Inca trail this hotel was like coming to an oasis in the dessert. The ambiance and decor made us feel so relaxed. The beds were so comfortable, the hotel was so clean, and the staff so pleasant. we enjoyed the large glass windows. The hotel was located outside of Puna however we were glad to be in the serene environment at the edge of Lake Titicaca.

Nice hotel with gardens
This is a nice hotel out of the chaos of Puno. It has gardens and lake views. There's also a jacuzzi and small pool. The first time I stayed it was great though large groups can come to stay so we weren't able to get into the dining room for dinner. On my way home I stayed again and they had a wedding with loud music in one of the rooms. No where to go to escape the noise. Luckily it only lasted until 8pm. It's the best option in the area for the price and the front desk woman was very helpful and sweet.

Very nice but outside of Puno
We stayed in a Junior Suite. It was quite large and very nice, though a single heater meant the temperature was a bit cold at night (bedding was very good though, so it didn't cause any problems sleeping). You'll have to take a Taxi to Puno (in the range of 35 soles), since it's outside of walking distance (if you're going to Juliaca, expect that to be ~100 soles). The small town across the 3S highway is nice for burning up a couple of hours. Food in the hotel was good, though drinks were pricey (5 soles for a bottle of water, 7 soles for a sprite, etc.). Laundry service is available, but it's priced per article ranging from 5-15 soles per shirt/pants/etc. The hotel has a very nice garden area that frequently had hummingbirds zipping around.

Las fotografías del hotel hablan un poco de más con respecto a la realidad. Es amplio, la habitación espaciosa, las sábanas bien limpias, el desayuno bueno. El hotel en general tiene aspecto envejecido, huele mal por todas partes (a cocina sucia), si pones el nombre del hotel en el GPS te va a llevar lejos, a un lote donde no existe nada. Después de estar allí dudo de la mayoría de comentarios 10.0 que aparecen.

古い施設なので、バスルームなどは使いにくい。 クリーニングはアイロンなどしておらず。良いものは縮んだりするので出さない方が良い。 スリッパ、歯ブラシは無いので、個人で用意する事をお勧めします。 スタッフはニコやで、大変気持ちよく滞在を楽しめもす。
