"Avoid this scam! We booked this hotel and payed in advance with Expedia. As we checked out the hotel asked for 100 USD for 2 nights which is way higher than it should be. As of now(2020/01/25) the hotel claims that they don't work with Expedia. The host speaks only numbers and a few English words making communication impossible and scamming quite possible. "The staff of the hotel were so amazing and nice. The airport pickup was wonderful. The hotel and the restaurant staff were so kind and helpful. The food was delicious, especially the papaya, injera, and the spaghetti! The room was clean, and the view was spectacular. The room was serviced and it was so nice to get a refresh. It was nice to get a hearty and delicious breakfast each day before the tour. The Wi-FI was so great to have at night when I was back from the tour. If you go to Lalibela, stay here."
