"We booked this hotel because Hotel.com stated it was 12 km from Stilo that we wanted to visit. In actual fact it is 38 km from Stilo . We could not spend the hour in travel to visit Stilo. The hotel is comfortable and the staff were excellent in providing help and information."

"We had only one night to stay in this hotel that seemed to be a five star in old days on our way back to Rome. Our room was very clean and spacious with a very nice view of the sea. I also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool. The staff were also very nice and helpful. the breakfast was very limited and I think it was because not many people were staying at our time. By the way there was a pizzeria restaurant close by called Bambu. Their food was excellent "

"The hotel was very pretty. The rooms could have use a paint job but we had a great balcony and bathroom was big. We did go off season so there wasn’t a lot of people. I was disappointed that the fountain outside wasn’t on & the ones inside. The staff was mediocre at best. When we checked out there was no one at the front desk and we just left our keys. So our experience wasn’t the best. "

"Got back from the Bagnara two days ago and had the most wonderful stay at Victoria Grand Hotel. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help and make my stay enjoyable. The hotels restaurant serves one of the best pasta dishes. A big shout out to Mirium and Perier who most helpful. The general manager Frank was amazing. He went out of his way to take us round the island and show us all the lovely spots. Had the most awesome stay and would recommend. Thank you to Frank, Mirium, Perier and all the staff working at the hotel. "

"They made sure you stay with them was first class service!! The pool was so relaxing. The beach look like paradise. The breakfast, lunch & dinner was Michelin star rated. "to begin with I have to admit I liked the 501 against my better judgement at times but the location and views allows a lot to be forgiven. I can imagine the 501 in its glory days would have been spectacular. the architecture is still on place and quality never goes out of style. however the old girl does look a little tired and could benefit from a little renovation in places. the staff, mainly Italian or course and many locals, can be a little abrupt or disinterested when they are busy with other things or distracted. But... this is Italy. they don't mean anything by it but they need to know it's not what some travellers expect. "
