"Lovely place to stay as a base for visiting Ghent, situated just a short walk from the railway station. Very nice, clean, comfortable room and very friendly and helpful staff."
"The entire experience was great. The location was ideal, room was clean and spacious. The property was very clear and swift on instructions for checking in and parking. Also dog friendly. Overall would recommend The Hide to absolutely everyone travelling to Ghent. "
"This is well situated, nicely managed boutique hotel. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and reflect the character of the house. The hosts were charming, welcoming, and helpful. "
"It’s a good hotel with great staff. The beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty, with a wide selection available. "
"A lovely old house with excellent bedrooms and kitchen area. The little private garden at the rear was very pleasant to sit in. Polo is a very helpful host. There are a lot of roadworks going on in the area but further into the old town are all the great sights and restaurants. "

"The hotel is in a great location in Bruges, very close to many squares where you can dine, drink or just taking in all the historical landmarks.
The room and hotel was by far my favorite from our weeklong trip in Europe and the only regret was we wanted to stay a few more nights there. Beautiful large room, sitting areas on the main floor of the hotel with a picturesque bar and the options for the breakfast was amazing. "
"We had a very good experience at this hotel. The location is excellent, with most attractions within walking distance. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would have preferred the toilet and bathroom to be combined, but overall the facilities were good. I enjoyed the swimming pool, though the heated water could have been a little warmer. While there’s no onsite parking, the public parking next door was very convenient. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay."
"Pros: my room was very comfortable and efficient. I liked that it was streamlined and a place for everything you need. I appreciated having the AC, a TV, comfortable bed, paid buffet breakfast if you wish, friendly and helpful staff and great service.
Cons: it was hard to find the hotel when the Uber driver drove me to the back service entrance. When I was told to go to the front, the signs were not clear, and she didn't tell me to go up to the 2nd floor. "
"This is a difficult review because most of the stay was fabulous. The room was comfortable, clean and well-laid out. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and felt like an oasis after a day in town filled with a million other tourists.
The issue I had was before we arrived, we received a message through the hotels.com website saying the hotel could not pre-authorize our payment, so our room may not be available. I immediately called hotels.com to try to rectify the situation. Although I was unable to call the hotel directly I emailed them. Got another message telling me the credit card was invalid (they had a credit card that was not even mine). Hotels.com kept trying to reach them but the front desk said they were too busy to help. It was finally resolved after the third hotels.com rep asked to speak to a manager. It was very inconvenient because we were in another location, trying to enjoy it but I kept having to stop and call hotels.com. And, I might add that the front desk of the hotel was not very busy much of the time while I was there. Some training is needed. It left a bad taste in my mouth."
"We stayed at the Residence Inn for 8 nights. We had a king size bed that was the perfect firmness. Aitana, front desk receptionist, helped secure a stovetop for our room & was extremely helpful during our stay. I had VIP access and received a nice small bottle of medium sweet white wine. It was delicious. On my birthday, we returned from Ghent to find balloons on the bed and a lovely card & bottle of wine! There is a bus across the street that takes you to Ghent train station where you can walk or take trams to the centrum. Ghent is my favorite city in Belgium! If you have a car, Brugge is not that far. We scored tickets to a Brugge Club match. Nearby the hotel is an Albert Heijn supermarket where we purchased food & beverages. There is also a futbol stadium nearby. Great stay! Outside of the city but super convenient to highways & transportation."
