"The staff was very responsive and kind to a tourist with limited Spanish speaking ability. Everything was clean and the property, and the rooftop pool was a highlight. The location right on Plaza Mayor makes this the perfect destination spot for a first time tourist in Madrid. You are no more than a 15 minute walk to almost everything you want to see in Madrid."

"The room was clean and well maintained. Its best attribute is the location as it is close to everything. The consequence of this is that it can be hard to sleep due to crowds outside. I was disappointed that there was no kettle in the room for a 4 star hotel and to avail of one would cost 5 euros per night rent! The breakfast was good, nice selection and the staff work hard to make sure that everything is replenished. I wouldn’t recommend the bar or the restaurant. The food choices are too heavy and too limited. The bar is also rather antiquated in regards to its choice. There was a free gift of tapas and a drink. I would have preferred free water, instead it had to paid for from the mini bar. The check in was of a high standard, the check out was poor. There was no interest in how the stay was or helping guests onto their next destination. Stay for the location (which you will pay a lot for) not the service or amenities."
