Stonefield Castle Hotel
8/10 Good
"It’s all about the food and the restaurant view. Yes it’s a lovely old building with great service but then the bed is uncomfortable and the pillows really lumpy but it all is fine because the restraint food service and food are outstanding."
Shelburne Lodge-Beautiful holiday home-on the Crinan Canal 5BR sleeps 10
10/10 Excellent
"Shelburne Lodge is a beautiful house in a stunning location. It was absolutely perfect for our family get together and, in spite of the rain on several days, there was lots to do in the area and the grandkids and the family had a great time visiting Kilmartin Museum, Lochgilphead swimming pool, a boat trip from Oban to look at the seals, crabbing at Crinan and long walks in the surrounding countryside. The facilities in the house were all we needed and the dining room and sitting room comfortably fit all 10 of us staying there, as well as some family who live nearby who visited a couple of times. We had a great time a would definitely stay there again."
The Grey Gull Hotel
8/10 Good
"The bed was a bit hard but the room was clean with coffee and tea provided. Staff were friendly and breakfast was a variety of hot and cold foods."
Stunning Coastal House near Oban by the sea with Island views spacious 4 bedroom
10/10 Excellent
"The house is wonderfully well equipped, very comfortable and has stunning views of the marina and islands. Gillian was a very helpful host. The surrounding area is beautiful and there is lots to do nearby. We had a delightful week. Thank you!"
The Island Bear B&B
10/10 Excellent
"Friendly hosts. We appreciated the self-serve snacks and drinks available in the kitchen."
Kilmartin Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was a wonderful place to stay. It is a heritage building and so you cannot expect modern amenities. But it had everything you need, a nicely renovated bathroom and the food was AMAZING! The atmosphere was perfect for the surrounding glen and the staff were extremely friendly. The room was small and basic but it lent to the charm. And the food.... Seriously good!"
Islay House
8/10 Good
"The property definitely needs some updating, it is a little bit on the rundown side, but it has absolutely stunning and well maintained grounds, which I highly recommend taking the time to explore. The House is unique and has a lot of potential. Staff was quite helpful and our room was very clean. It’s definitely off the beaten path so expect to walk a little bit for a bus stop or pre-reschedule a taxi. Do not rely on Uber on the island. So make sure to plan ahead and decide where you want to have meals. Breakfast at the property is good, but there is not an on-site restaurant in no room service. You need to make sure that you are selecting a restaurant in town and booking a table."
Tayvallich a secret corner of Argyll, beautifully located Chalet. .
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay, thank you Chris!"
The Galley of Lorne Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Staff very friendly, room was spotless & amenities good. Only thing lacking was milk to make a cuppa in the morning. Forgot to mention to the staff as im sure this would have been rectified. Beautiful location"
