Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Location was great for our visit to the Antique Boat event. The house could use some attention to the carpet upstairs, lots for large stains and both the toilets need some attention as they filled/ran due to old ballcocks. Check in was a bit difficult as did not receive final request for guest detail until enroute as all were traveling form a 2-4 day travel/driving. Calls to the office were addressed quickly to help ease through issues once we arrived.

There was plenty of room for the 4 couples that went. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare meals. Not as close to walking distance to town as we hoped, but we are “old” 🤣 The yard and deck were very nice, wish the weather had been kinder to us so we could use it.

Pleasant Getaway
My family and I had a wonderful time here at the property in Clayton. It was spacious and very comforting. Very close to shops, restaurants and the park.
This was our second time staying in Clayton and the house fit our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room and the house was kept up very well. We probably will stay here again next year!

Pleasent long weekend in Clayton
Communication with the property managers was excellent. Very easy people to deal with. The house was spotless and in perfect repair. The pictures do not do it justice as it is very roomy and well laid out. Location to restaurants and shopping is fantastic, easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Our rental agent Jennifer was very pleasent throughout the process. Thanks for a nice stay.

Great House, Great Location
This was a wonderful place to stay for a week. It is accurately described as a beautifully renovated home. The house was spotless and well-maintained. It's in a great location, an easy walk to downtown Clayton, shops, restaurants, and the River. It has a lovely deck (with a bit of a view of the main channel of the River) with propane grill, and a nice kitchen. A few more comfortable outdoor chairs would be a welcome addition to the deck.
When we arrived, neither the cable TV or the internet access worked. Phone calls to the rental office produced the desired results: TV was restored by the next day, and the internet service a day or so later. It was a minor annoyance, but handled well.
For the weekend when we first arrived, we were 4 couples in town for a wedding, so all bedrooms were in use. On the second floor, that meant 6 people using one bathroom. Though there is plenty of unused wall space in the bathroom, there is only one towel rack, barely big enough for 2 towels, meaning everyone had to take their wet bath towels to their rooms, and there were no places to hang them in the rooms. We suggest more towel racks in the bathroom or else in the bedrooms. The other amenity that we missed was light to read by in the bedrooms (The living room could use some brighter light by the couches as well.) A high ceiling fixture in the middle of the room does not provide sufficient light for reading in bed, something my husband and I enjoy every night. We went out and purchased two flashlights to read by! The addition of towel bars in the upstairs bath and lights at either side of the beds, either wall-mounted or on a small night table (which would be a handy addition as well) would unquestionably make my rating 5-star.
We found Clayton to be a charming town. We were there for a wedding on Grindstone Island, and that occupied our weekend, but Clayton is full of wonderful things that we enjoyed in the following days. Most special were the Antique Boat Museum and the Island Boat Tour around the River, stopping at Boldt Castle. Restaurants we enjoyed were Bella, the newly opened Johnston House, and The Koffee Kove for breakfast a number of times.

Very peaceful
The house and the location is excellent. The only possible improvements that could be done is for the property to provide towels and hair dryer.

Wonderful Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend in this house. We ended up hosting our cousins rehearsal dinner at the house. The backyard is huge. The kids were able to run around and have fun while everyone else just enjoyed a casual dinner and conversation catching up with family. Everyone that visited commented on how beautiful the home was, and were jealous of us that they had to go back to their hotels in Watertown. This was a great location for us because we had a wedding at Boldt Castle, and a reception in Watertown. It was like a big triangle staying here and was easy getting to everything. The house was so clean and fresh. My kids enjoyed getting their own rooms, and the views from some of the upstairs bedrooms were breathtaking. It is a very lovely home, and you won't regret having booked a stay here.

Highly Recommended Rental
The pictures do not do the house justice. Immaculate inside and very welcoming decor. Bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. Kitchen and dining room are great for a large group.
Great customer service and communication from the owners.
1000 Islands area is beautiful and a wonderful place to visit.
Highly recommend to those that are looking for a great rental to have lots of room. Rates are very reasonable. We could not have asked for better accomodations. The house is a definite win when weighing the options of renting this house versus a hotel.

Angel Rock House in Clayton
This home is lovely and newly renovated. We rented this to accommodate 8 women from Ontario on a girls weekend . It suited our needs perfectly and is not far from Watertown for shopping. The town itself is quaint and we were able to order pizza a block down the road at the service station ... yes, service station. We were pleasantly surprised as it was great pizza! The Clipper Inn is just down the road as well and the food there was good as well. The only thing missing was a phone (being that we are from Canada and would have to pay excessive roaming fees on our cell phones) to make local calls or for emergency purposes. We did bring an iPad and were able to connect via WiFi. Carol and Dan were both very nice and accommodating people. We would most definitely stay there in the future!

Beautiful home, wonderful experience!
We stayed at this home for a month in the spring while I was on temporary assignment at Fort Drum. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, or a neater town to stay in! We fell in love with the St. Lawrence River, the ships, and the Thousand Island region as a whole. The home is immaculate and we felt comfortable the entire time. I would highly recommend the Clayton Home for long or short stays. It is our dream to come back sometime during the summer!
