Family Reunion

Amazing and relaxing site

Family met here the weekend before Christmas from all over Texas and Missouri. Beautiful countryside. All of the houses were clean and immaculate just as described. Plenty of room for 21 of us.You won’t be disappointed

Great place for large gatherings

This was an amazing property with a lot of space. We had a house for parents, a house for the bridesmaids, and a house for the groomsmen. Perfect place to host a rehearsal dinner before the most amazing wedding! Would highly recommend for family reunion. Brandi was easy to work with and prompt to respond to any questions.

Great Family Gathering

We celebrated our 50th anniversary at the rove with 40+ guest on Saturday and spent three nights there. I would definitely go again. It was perfect for our celebration. My family enjoyed the pool, lake and games. The ranch manager gave us a wonderful tour with the highlight of newborn piglets.

Amazing Christmas at The Rove at L5

Thank you somuch to the Luig's who were amazing hosts.! The Rove at L5 is the absolute perfect place if you have a large group or multiple families. The property is well-maintained, sprawling, and the lake onsite is phenomenal for fishing. The houses are so well decorated and each has a unique flair and theme. So easy to get to from DFW too! If you are looking for a great getaway from the Metroplex, we couldn't recommend anything more.

Great place to stay!

We booked the Rove for our entire wedding party to stay at during our wedding weekend. We called Brandi almost a year and a half before the date and asked if she could save it for us. She was so accommodating and immediately ensured that the date was booked for us, despite being so far ahead of time. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to the event, and did so with kindness and grace. The property itself is incredible, and is such a fun space to have 30 of your favorite people. It's perfectly set up for hosting and hanging out, and I love that there are multiple houses on the same property. If you are looking for a space to host a large group, this is the one!!

Would love to come back

Beautiful, comfortable and private property for a large gathering. We enjoyed staying there despite the fact the weather was simply awful (rainy, windy and cold, 40F). We loved the property and the decor, we felt very welcomed and the host was more than accommodating.

Wonderful wedding weekend!!

My daughter got married at The Springs, so we booked The Rove for my husbands side of the family to stay at for a few days for the wedding. This was a great location and an amazing VRBO!!! It was perfect in every way! Great communication, very clean, and beautiful property. Can’t wait to find another reason to need to rent this place again!!

Fantastic Place

Houses are so cute and well maintained. Communication with Brandi was SO easy! Everything was clean and well maintained. We hosted our rehearsal dinner here and had the whole wedding party stay here. It was tons of fun and so convenient. Only 15 minutes from our venue. Beds were a little hard but honestly we had so much fun, we hardly noticed!! Would definitely rent this place again! And I highly recommend!

Peaceful, Fun-filled Gem!

We stayed for my daughter’s nearby wedding at The Springs Alvarado (short 15 minutes or so). I can’t say enough…GREAT place for big groups, lots of activities and plenty of room. This is the perfect place to wind down post wedding night! Brandi, the host, is a great communicator and super helpful. We will be back! Don’t hesitate…BOOK NOW!

A wonderful place to get away

The 25 of us enjoyed every minute of our stay from the pool to the fishing pond where our fishermen caught and released enough fish to put big grins on their faces. The ranch manger was quick to respond if we needed something. The view out of the kitchen window in the Pool House was enough to take all of your cares and worries away. We did not want to leave. It is a very relaxing place.

Fantastic for large families!

We had 13 adults & 13 kids from 0-14. Beds for everyone, stuff to do for all ages, and space to get away from the chaos when necessary. Kitchens had what we required for cooking. Beautiful scenery and put together in a great way. Owners did a great job of communicating instructions and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Awesome Time

We had 18 older women who spent the weekend enjoying our friendship, Bible study and games and food. Bunks were a lit too hard for our group but we made do. Location, houses and property were superb.

Family Reunion 2024

We had a blast for the 2nd year in a row and will be coming back in 2025! This property is absolutely perfect for Family Reunions and get togethers. The owner is fantastic! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place for a large event. Great for a wide range of ages and capabilities. We have infants to 80 year olds in wheelchairs and with very little assistance they are able to come and go. Stores are within 10 minutes for food and ice too! Great place overall!!

Spacious ranch with plenty of room to spread out and have fun!!!

Can't say enough good things about this listing! Our family of three generations had a great time enjoying the lake, the pool area(a lot of volleyball played), the game room and beautiful sunsets and countryside! The children getting to see the pigs was a bonus! The sport court was great for all kinds of games and entertainment. The outside stage was loved by our future actors/actresses! And Brandy, the host was very accommodating and answered our questions in a timely manner!!!

Family Reunion

We chose the location due to location being central from a variety of cities we all came from and it worked out well. We were able to split up into the three different houses which provided wonderfully working AC and and rooms for each family. We convened in the pool house for our meals and enjoyed hours and hours in the central pool. Lots of games of washers, lots of space to spread out and enjoy the both nature and a simple environment with the luxuries of restrooms, beds, and indoor retreat.

Great Experience

We had a wonderful time. There was 14 of us & we had plenty of room to spread out. The homes were very nice & well stocked. We really enjoyed the pool & party garage. The animals roaming around were fun to watch. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit early in the morning for coffee & enjoying the scenery. Brandi was great to answer all my questions in a very timely manner. Definitely recommend.

Picture Perfect!

Finding a place to house 26+ people is a challenge but this place is spot on!! Kids had acres to run and romp on. Basketball court provided hours of entertainment ! Host is first rate and very accessible. If you are going to cook for large group at the property you might bring a couple big pots. Lots of stove and oven space and fridges!! Perfect for our large family reunion!!

Perfect for family reunion

We enjoyed our stay very much. We rented this place because it was close to the Venue where our two kids had their double wedding. The place provided a perfect place for our family reunion as well and had enough room for everyone. We had some plumbing problem at the pool house but communication with the host was quick. The party house was big enough and was perfect for our meet and greet with our blended family cookout. Our your adult children enjoyed playing ping pong and foosball and some played basketball and had a wonderful time. We had to buy firewoods and had some s’mores outdoor. HEB grocery is not too far for any grocery needs. They have mostly everything in that store. Everything was provided (would have loved some bigger pots though for cooking and lids that fit some pots) but the main thing was we all had a wonderful time. I recommend this place to anyone!

Bucolic ease with modern amenities

I recently rented the Rove at L5 for my women’s discipleship intensive. The property was wonderful for our group of 15 women. We had an ample amount of room and never felt overcrowded and the multiple indoor living areas gave us several options where we could gather as a group. Each space is thoughtfully decorated with colorful, modern furnishings and a variety of seating in the living rooms. All of the bedrooms also had a place to sit for reading which was nice for our individual quiet time. The bedrooms were well appointed with plush linens and comfortable mattresses and pillows. We didn’t utilize the upstairs sleeping rooms of the pool house, but they would be great for kids as the beds are in box platforms on the floor. Each bathroom was outfitted with contemporary finishes and full-size toiletries and had excellent water pressure. The fact that each building has its own refrigerator, coffee maker, kitchen and laundry facilities was convenient for us. God’s creation was on full display outside, with the beautiful trees, pond, hardscaping, fields, sunrises and sunsets. Even the storm that blew in quickly was a sight to behold! Brandi was very responsive and attentive both before and during our stay and the few issues we had were resolved quickly. She also added some thoughtful touches like S’more supplies and fresh flowers in each of the houses, which were lovely. I am grateful to Brandi and her family for the use of their space for this special event.

Great gathering place

I chose the Rove at L5 for our 4 generation family gathering based upon the value, the swimming pool and the ability for families to have separate living areas. The place was as described and Brandi was very responsive to texts/questions. We had 20 adults and 11 kids under 6. The pool was a big hit and was used from sun up to sundown. It is in direct sun all day- there were two umbrella but we supplemented with two canopy tents which made it bearable. Plenty of pool towels. As other reviews mentioned a lack of kitchen tools, we were prepared and brought anything necessary. The east and west house kitchens are very sparsely populated with cooking equipment but the pool house is adequately stocked and we did most of the meal prep and serving there. It was a tight kitchen but nice gas stove and an island for serving. The garage was a nice hang out place but July in Texas is HOT!. There is a swamp cooler and fans to help with the heat and there was a nice natural breeze as well. The evenings and mornings were very pleasant. The house is set back from the main road so noise is at a minimum and the stars can be seen at night. Plenty of room to stretch out. We didn’t have a fire but did use the space for evening conversation. Surprisingly very few mosquitos or bugs. My husband did take advantage of the Jon boat at the lake by bringing a trolling motor and caught/released many striped bass. Overall a great place for a relaxing family reunion-highly recommend.
