Another great stay in this house. Comfortable and well equipped with all that we needed. Angela was brilliant as usual with any queries we had.
We’re looking forward to staying again soon.

Good house in a great location
The house was very clean and comfortable and more than spacious enough for us (6 people). Its location couldn't be better: a few steps from a little shop and the harbour (with ferries going regularly to Inishbofin), 15 minutes by car to Clifden and 15 minutes to the Connemare national park with its magnificent Diamond Hill. Highly recommended!

Love this house
4 consecutive years coming to this house.
Location is fabulous, across the road from the wonderful Olivers bar and the amazing Little Fish where we indulged too often!
Almost everything about the house is great and it really feels like home to us by now.
All 5 people that stayed in the house agreed that the one big letdown is the beds. The mattresses on all the beds need replacing to enable a good night's sleep. It's the only reason this house does not get all 5 *
We're unable to return next year but hope to be back in the future.

My Cleggan holiday
As usual our stay in cottage 323 was a lovely experience. The house is very well equipped with all you need. There is a
Grocery shop over the road which sells
Everything. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants especially Oliver’s restaurant
Which has the most appetising foods.
There is car parking at the back of the
Cottage which is secluded from the main road. I have only one thing to say that
There should be a walk-in shower either
In the bathroom on the first floor and put the bath upstairs in the top floor bedroom.
Or put an en suite in the back bedroom.
I find it difficult getting into the bath as the
Bath is very high. I have arthritis in my knees and find it painful going up and down the stairs. But all in all an extremely
Enjoyable holiday in the cottage as I have enjoyed for a number of years now.

Week in Cleggan
Our holiday was wonderful. We were beside shop, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. All just across the road. The house was exceptionally clean with beautiful bed linen. It was well stocked with all we needed. There are lots of beautiful beaches close by. The small playground was a big hit with my two young grandchildren.
Overall the location and house was excellent.
The only down side was we found it tough to be out of the house by 10 am on the morning of departure. Otherwise everything was great .

My home from home…
I love this cottage - always have as we have stayed about six times now and the
Beauty of it is it’s locality to the most beautiful scenery - the local fresh fish
Caught every morning. The local shop the pubs and the most friendly of neighbours even though some are relatives!!
The only thing I would wish for next years holiday is that there would be a walk in electric shower as I cannot get into the bath. But all in all 10/10
The cottage is obviously newly furnished so carpets were not worn and everywhere clean and tidy.
The caretaker lady met us at the house but did not show us around or indicate where the heating or hot water was turned on or off . she seemed in a mad rush and left very quickly .
Actually there were no notes about the house apart from a handwritten note in the downstairs toilet giving the wifi code and telling us to strip our beds before we left.
The previous tenants must have had a dog as there were dog hairs in the living room area and a lot of dog poo on the small patch of grass out the back, which was not ideal as we had our two little grandsons who wanted to run around. the grass had not been mown so one could not see where the poo was!
there was a floor tray in the downstairs toilet with evidence of dog poo at the bottom. not very pleasant!!
One couldn't have the windows open on the street side of the house as the smell of fried food coming from the harbour cafe and Olivers pub was overwhelming!
the kitchen was well equipped apart from there being not a sharp knife in the place. When we enquired to the lady in charge, she went to the house rental next door and produced a few equally blunt knives!
Sadly the bedding was all polyester, including the pillows and duvets which made for sweaty nights.
In the top bathroom, which is spacious, there was not one shelf or table to put a wash-bag on.
Hooks on bathroom doors would be a good idea.
Perfectly adequate house if the weather is good, which sadly it was not, so everyone got on top of one another rather and it suddenly felt rather small.

Fantastic location
2nd year in this house and 6th year staying in the area which we never tire of. If you want a slower pace of life, walking, swimming, great coffee shops and restaurants then there is no better place than Clifden and Cleggan for us.
This house is generally very comfortable, has plenty of space and everything you need for a great holiday.
Like all the houses we've stayed in here, the mattresses are in need of being replaced. Mattress toppers will not disguise an old one whose springs have gone and it's not good for the back! Also, the 2nd floor bedroom is huge with a great en-suite but only a standard double bed, meaning my husband and myself have to have separate rooms as it's too small for our tall selves! The room would easily accommodate a superking which could then give the option of being a twin which is very common in b and b's, hotels and self catering nowadays.
Being in Cleggan and across the road from Olivers is a big bonus however so we've already booked again for next year

Best house we've stayed in
This house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery and pans -not always the case in a rental- which we made good use of. Only things missing there were a pair of tongs and a garlic crush.
Beds were very comfortable- which can also be a rare thing!
Perfect location opposite Oliver which was very handy.
Only letdown was on the very last night when neighbours had a party outside which was very loud until after 11pm and still talking at 1am. It was a Birthday party so hope they don't decide to do it again next year as we're already booked for the same 2 weeks!

Family stay in Cleggan
Lovely house. Well situated between two nice beaches. Locals very friendly and local contact (Angela) very helpful.
We had to drive a bit out of our way but it ended up being just a quick ferry ride away from a beautiful island. We enjoyed our stay there. Our only complaint would be that we didn't have very good pans to cook with and the basic amenities were lacking a little (we ran out of toilet paper and had no laundry soap). Overall we were pretty satisfied.
