"Riverview Cottage is a well maintained, cozy, and well-equipped cottage. We spent a week here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The separate washer and dryer made it easy to catch up with the laundry after a bit of traveling. Located 5 minutes from the Calanais Standing Stones, the cottage is conveniently located to other attractions on the west coast of Harris. While we would recommend doing any major provisioning in Stornoway, the Carloway Community store is only about an 8 minute drive away should you run out of milk or bread. Stornoway itself is an easy 30 minute drive away. We would definitely consider staying at this property again if we returned to Lewis & Harris. "

"Stunning location, nothing but peace and tranquility. Very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped, and very friendly hosts. The fresh flowers and bottle of wine were an extra special touch. Seeing otters in the loch from the kitchen window was truly amazing."

"This house is in a great position with wonderful views. It is very spacious and has everything you need. It was spotless and has good drying facilities for those wet days that can happen! Great for beach walks and bird watching from the house. We would like to return."

"Fantastic views from conservatory of sea and hills. Highland cows and sheep in back garden. Brilliant. Otter spotted fishing in bay. Community shop , 10 minutes away by car, excellently stocked.Reef beach, 5 minutes by car , best beach in Scotland in my opinion. House well equipped and comfortable. Locals very, very friendly. Excellent holiday."
