"This place is dated and worn. It needs some sprucing up for the prices they charged. The most redeeming feature was its access (next door) to "The Deck" - a very popular beachside bar and "Driftwood", an excellent restaurant. The staff however were wonderful!!"

"Exceptional property, from the moment we arrived. Service was what you expect from a top tier property. More family friendly than expected based on the reviews but wasn't an issue for me and my wife even though it may have been if a couple wanted a more adult heavy enviroment. Pool and pool service was top notch. Views you can't beat. "

"Charming, historic property- steps from the beach! Parking is available off-site, but it was good to leave our car there and walk/trolley everywhere. The staff is lovely and attentive. As it is an older building, do not expect the more modern features. Overall it was the good choice for our budget and our get-away."

"This is a cute, quiet, cottage-like, hotel directly on the sand with beach access! I checked in on 3/21/26 at about 3pm and the front desk staff was incredible. They were super inviting, warm, and friendly and truly made us feel like we were being hosted in their own home! Thank you for the memorable check in experience and lovely stay "

"Amazing place to relax, rejuvenate and visit Laguna Beach. Although it’s on the PCH, once inside its historic grounds, you will be transported to another place. . Many delightful corners to enjoy the California sunsets and beautiful weather. The amenities, food on site and staff are the icing on top! This boutique hotel does not disappoint! A short walk under the PCH to a hidden beach. "

"The Host was great. Rooms were clean and nice!. Its in a nice quiet area near a golf course. Found shops nearby for shopping and a nice Nigel Donuts/bakery for breakfast and many other places in Dana Point. Host helped us a beach with free parking and we were able to enjoy a couple of days in a nice quiet area in the hills of Laguna Niguel. It is a Condo which part was converted into a VRBO. "

"Beautiful view from oceanfront room, as pictured, sparkling clean room, helpful staff. Accessible to north Laguna from trolley and a mile walk otherwise. My only complaint was the lack of transparency for requested early check in. I would prefer a ‘no’ rather than we will see and call you.. I checked every 30 min for status. If i knew it would never happen then I would have made other plans during that time. Expectations matter. "
