"The Britomart is a great place for a short stay but not for an extended visit. The hotel is perfectly placed in the CBD, close to the cruise terminal and ferries, which is why we booked it. The immediate impression of the property and its rooms is excellent, but as you live there, it starts to irritate you. It is little things like the lack of coat hooks for outdoor stuff, that will get wet in Auckland. The lack of draws or shelves for your smalls The pocket door to the bathroom. But most of all the computer controlled lighting, which after 6 nights I still could not work properly. Why do we need dimmable lights in a bathroom? Just give me a switch. We did not eat in the hotel and only used the bar once. The restaurant seems to cater for the rich kids in finance to eat after work and thats not my scene. In all a good hotel and would be perfect with a few tweaks."

"From the moment we arrived, our stay at Cordis was absolutely exceptional. The valet gentlemen created such a wonderful first impression — they were superb, warm, efficient and incredibly friendly. Every member of the team we encountered was excellent in their own area, and we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. The beautiful birthday surprises waiting in our room completely blew me away and made me feel incredibly special. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness were just outstanding. I also had the most incredible Youth Facial at Chuan Spa. It was so relaxing and beautifully done that I actually fell asleep during the treatment — the ultimate compliment! 💆♀️😂 The food was also amazing. The $32 full cooked breakfast was divine — sausages, mushrooms, tomato, eggs, bacon and toast, along with a real coffee. Absolutely delicious and a wonderful start to the day. And the desserts… so good that we had to relive the experience and order them to our room again on another evening! 😂🍰 Hands down one of the warmest, most thoughtful and memorable hotel experiences I have ever had. Cordis and its incredible team made my birthday so special, and I am already looking forward to returning. Thank you for an unforgettable stay! 💗"
