Great conversations with the host to understand some tourist benefits better. "Superb location, but the property feels somewhat abandonned. The main bar next to the racetrack was closed during the whole Nurburgring 12H race weekend. The rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the track was also empty : no tables, no chairs. Finally, the rooms do not have AC, meaning that you must open the windows to have a bit of fresh air at night. This also means that you hear every single noise outside, and the hotel failed to contain loud guests... keeping us awake until 3am. On the bright side, food was generally good: the breakfast buffet, the restaurant and bar menus, etc. Staff were also helpful and professional."

"The hotel is very unique and lovely. The room was large and we loved the balcony , really beautiful view of the castle. The bed was comfy with really big pillows, which appear to be normal in Germany. Location is ideal and the staff helped us with our parking , as there was a wine festival on, which shut off some parking. Breakfast was first class with lots of variety and the staff looked after us really well."

"The reception staff were not friendly at all. Room was located in a building about 1/10 of a mile down the road from the main hotel. No assistance with luggage. No amenities in that building, however, the room was clean and very large. Be warned, there is NO air conditioning in the rooms. We were there mid-June and it was over 80°F in the room when we went to sleep! No top sheets, just a heavy comforter, seems to be a Europe thing."

"Overall a very nice stay. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Hotel was quiet at night which we appreciated. Breakfast was good and restaurant staff were friendly. Decor was nice. Very conveniently located to train station and to the town highlights. They are strict about not getting your room before check-in at 3 pm which can be inconvenient depending on arrival schedules. There is no mini-fridge in the room nor a safe. We would definitely stay here again."
