"Clean, updated rooms. Was very quiet, even though there was like 15 kids in the pool with their parents. We brought our dog. Had a pleasant stay. My only thing is, just having chemo 5 days prior, breakfast is very limited. I had a banana. But for the price & cleanliness, its worth the stay. Also safe parking lot every time weve stayed."

"the price was good but the property interior was a bit sad. I knew I was in trouble when I came into the room and a bath towel was holding up one corner of the lounge chair. There were a three holes in the sheetrock behind the chair. No coffee in the room and after walking to the eating area at 7:00am there was no coffee, had to wait. the continental breakfast was cheap toast and tiny muffins. cereal, yogurt. and apples. no much, there was orange juice coffee cup lids didn't even fit. "

"This hotel is an old mansion and luxury boutique hotel. It is well kept and would be a great venue for a wedding. As an older hotel, it has shared spaces like sitting areas, bathrooms, game rooms, etc. It has old heaters in many rooms and a claw foot bathtub in the upstairs bathroom. It is in a safe neighborhood and very convenient to downtown Couer d'Alene. We were on the 3rd floor and had to climb up some narrow staircases to our room. The floors were a bit creaky, as you would expect in a historic building. It was definitely an experience you won't get with the corporate hotels.The hosts were friendly and made breakfast. The Blackwell was a unique experience! "

"The room was disgustingly dirty! The bed sheet had a burn hole, hair and bread on the covers. No lights! We did not stay here. It appeared unsafe and dingy. I would not recommend."
