"Our stay was fine for the short time we were there as a place to lay our heads but for the price we paid I was a little disappointed. In all honesty The beds felt like a horse has broken them in, we have all woken up with sore backs today so definitely need adjusting (or even a mattress topper) the curtains were very thin so we were all woken up with the light first thing which was also frustrating as we wanted to make the most of the rest. "We had a two night stay at Wivenhoe House hotel whilst attending a wedding. We booked a standard room which was adequate for our needs, it was clean and comfortable, bathroom had a lovely shower with complimentary products provided. I was impressed by the ‘real’ milk in the mini fridge, makes a big difference to your tea/coffee compared to the long life variety. There is plenty of breakfast options to choose from, they have covered all preferences, no complaints about what we had. Finally, I must mention how friendly and helpful the staff are at Wivenhoe House Hotel, each one we met had a smile, even if we just passed them in the corridor, well done Wivenhoe House, it makes a difference 😊"
