"It was a very clean and comfortable place to stay, in a beautiful setting along the Tyre River. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. And we were able to enjoy visiting some wonderful natural sites nearby (Crabtree Falls & the Natural Bridge). Our thanks to Margaret and Kenneth for opening their wonderful cabin to us!"

"Really nice tranquil cabin with a porch and fire pit overlooking a little river. Bed was super comfy, bathroom was a great size. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans. Coffee k cups and creamer and sugar was provided, which was so nice. Surprised my husband with this trip for his birthday and stayed with our 3yr old and 2 dogs. Multiple cabins on the property but they’re thoughtfully placed so that each cabin renter has their own privacy and space and view of the river. Cabin had everything we needed, even firewood for a fire and access to grills with propane. Owner was friendly and communicative. Really enjoyed the closeness to multiple nature parks and trails and breweries, wineries, and distilleries. We also really enjoyed seeing the state fish hatchery too and there is Montebello Resort close by that allows for fishing without a license as it’s private. A lady at Montebello did say that unfortunately the fish prefer cooler fall weather. The nights and mornings relaxing on the porch watching the river go on by were so rejuvenating. Thanks for a great stay."

"We just pulled back in our driveway after an amazing 2 days at this little slice of just absolute bliss. Cabins were new, the bed was comfy and nothing beats walking barefoot through the stream or sitting around the fire pit. Gorgeous views when the sun burns through the fog in the mornings too. We're definitely coming back! We were there with two other couples and you wouldn't even have known. The pollinator garden was a nice touch too. hank you! "

The sound of the creek, the comfy setup, and all the little thoughtful touches made it feel really special. It was clean, charming, and felt like a little hidden gem in nature."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint and luxurious bed-and-breakfast. There were comfortable common areas to enjoy along with the complete privacy of your own room complete with coffee, tea, and a personal sized refrigerator. The hostess had the option to take breakfast to go with many drink and food items to choose from. She even accommodated our dietary and allergy restrictions. We thought the breakfast sliders were amazing!"
"We stayed at this property for the 2025 Washington and Lee graduation. It was the perfect choice because it provided a place to relax with grandparents and our family. The property and house was magnificent with great views of the mountains. The house was spacious and just made you feel at home. The hosts were responsive but not intrusive. Our only regret is that we did not find this property sooner in our 4 years worth of travel back and forth to Lexington. "

"Booked this property for 3 nights as we were attending a VMI graduation and a wedding. This was perfect. Linda made our stay awesome. We did a red-eye in and were able to check in early for a quick nap. The breakfast every morning was sooooo good. She even arranged a tea tasting, which unfortunately we were not able to attend because of our conflicting schedule. The room was large and comfortable. They use StarLink WiFi so no problems with connectivity. Linda's attitude made the visit in the beauty of the mountains one we will not forget."
